0:38 That’s what I think of Israel 🇮🇱 2018. It was a so undeserved winner for me. I haven’t done a top 43 of ESC 2018 yet, but I think Israel will be on my 41st place.

@@solas702 a bit of both I would say actually. Like the song itself is the main dealbreaker, but I also take performance into account a bit and I only let live vocals positively impact my opinion of a song. Examples for that last one are Moldova and Romania at Eurovision in 2022. The studio version isn’t all that special on its own and many actually thought they wouldn’t qualify, but their live performances were so good.

France only received 10 reverse points from the televote (3 from Austria, 3 from UK, 3 from Germany and 1 from Italy), therefore France would have ended 22nd with 65 points.

Kazakhstan 2018, 2019 and 2020 are all masterpieces… but 2020 still hits so hard to this day, one my favourite entries ever 😭😭😭

Sandra Kim was the most irritating winner of the ESC besides that she should have been disqualified and stripped of her title for cheating and breaking the rules.
