La piste d'envol de l'aéroport international de Freetown/Lungi est une des 5 plus belles de la sous-région en bordure de mer. [Ici le vol de Brussels SN pour Freetown/Dakar/Bruxelles en Airbus A 330] Il quitte la Sierra à 19 H. En une 1 H de vol (Freetown est à 895 km de Dakar à vol d'oiseau sur l'océan. Il arrive à 20 H 30 au Sénégal Départ à 22H 30 mn de Dakar pour Bruxelles. Freetown n'était au départ qu'une aire de stationnement pour Brussels SN en raison des taxes de stationnement élevé de Dakar Yoff. Le vol Bruxelles/Dakar y finissait sans vraiment de passagers

My father was based in Jui with the RAF during WW2 but it looks nothing like that back then.
