I have a 2018 E350 camper, but the dash setup looks identical to yours. It's way way easier to get back there and deal with the electrical stuff if you drop the steering column after removing the kick panel.

Want to convert my box truck to a mobile comic shop or art store. I attend a few comic conventions every year and I wanna use my truck to bring my product but also use it as a storage so that if there is something someone wants I can then easily pull it out of my shop truck.

I've got a 2019 e-350 FedEx truck that I'm about to try this on, but I have to get home and get it done before work the next day. I'm not sure if you mentioned what year yours is and I can't find info on the newer generations. Is yours a 19? It looks the same but I wanna be sure first.

i am doing it too the same box truck, i gotta ask, this truck's ceiling is gonna be burning hot under the southern sun, (i am currently in Houston TX.) would this material be ok to resist the heat?
@mattwalker15393 жыл бұрын
I’m just going to use the same RMax insulation that I’m using for the walls on the ceiling. But you could also do spray foam but do it in the shade and light layers.

FYI: US insulation R ratings (perhaps other countries as well) are measured with the mean temperature of 70'deg.F. Thus, polyiso insulation <50'F declines markedly. Therefore, polyiso is a poor choice just for R rating for temps <50'F. XPS in combination with Adzel a good choice.

I'm right there with you, Matt! Keep posting - I just pulled the back half interior from my '94 2+0 NA. I've got to finish the timing belt service before I get back to the interior work, but I've got the same color tan and it hasn't aged well, so i want to see how your refresh turns out!

nice!..lol, _any_ insulation is better than no insulation, but i hope you in mild climates because that ain't much. also, i see you are gonna keep your door? i removed mine, because i live in pretty cold/very hot areas i added A LOT of insulation (2" xps board along walls) and there was no way to insulate the door well and still have it come up (not to mention that the hardware is a massive thermal bridge, and it takes up a significant amount of space that's right where i want to put shelves/run wiring/etc.). i just cut the rails off, screwed the wheel to the track the door is in so it cannot be opened, and cut a hole in the middle with a custom door. :) peace
