This music is so wonderful I could listen to it all day. It lifts my soul to places beyond the clouds. Reminds me of the male voice choral festival that used to be held in Johannesburg in the 1970s. Glorious times.

Oh ye gods, what a bloated intro. Just ghastly! Who the fark was the arranger? I want his/her/their name. I'd like to send them a little present...

Yes I saw this and lived it. Will save it to show my Mum who is 92 years old and Welsh but has lived in Liverpool since she got married at 18. She talks about her Welsh roots all the time.

I also saw this on The piano Beautiful rendition and should have been sent through to play at the festival hall.

Only found this song after watching The Piano, on Channel 4 last night. Being sung by such a wonderful choir, is just as so beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Absolutely beautiful. I don't know what it is about Welsh male voice choirs, but I usually end up in tears. Goosebumps! Just gorgeous ♥️

Just recently discovered this beautiful hymn sung by a Welsh female singer Ceri Haf Roberts at a concert by the Melbourne Welsh Male choir. I was touched by its beauty and have since heard versions by Rhys Meirion, Bryn Terfel, Lisa Angharad and the choirs above. The song is a real treasure.

CARLOS Marine from ildivo, would have been more than amazing had he been given a solo singing with Welsh Choirs, that is a fact. Welsh voices are very hard to beat, just as CARLOS Marine is phenomenal , no other has his gift.

God save the ‘monarch’ is hardly inspirational -( ‘an audience with Billy Connolly got it right’)Anyway, the English shouldn’t claim it as their anthem-they should adopt one of their own. There are several to chose from ,any of which might raise the same kind of fervour as the anthems of Wales,Scotland and both parts of Ireland.

What a moving anthem. We English need a stirring anthem instead of singing about an unelected monarch. How can anyone have pride in our anthem especially if not a royalist.

Me too. AFter WWII my father got work in the Kent coal mines, and I grew up there. In spite of annual trips back to Caernarvon, when I felt the happiest I ever could, I still regret not having my own national language. But I know I am Welsh to my bootstraps, nothing can take that away. It informs my sense of identity.
