Honestly, I don't mind the remake with better quality, but I just don't like the color scheme of it. Too much red on every character.

Its so nice to find old game LP with no commentary. Having some jackass yammering over it ruins it.

Why do i remember the nes version ending in many swordfights with the big dudes, and then jaffar himself as the opponent with like half a screen of life bottles to defeat, before being able to reconnect with the sultan's daughter? -*- edit: I guess I mean SNES version; found another playthrough of that version where the boss fights were way more visceral, and it makes sense. That system was more capable of elaboration on the musical and graphical effects put into the release, I suppose I never fully appreciated that the SNES version I fell in love with, enough to beat a few times in the early 90s, was Jordan Mechner's/Broderbund's Definitive Edition of Prince of Persia, by comparative standards.

I used to play this at university around 1997 on some older Macs upstairs, it lacked the smoothness of the arcade but was much more intense and enjoyable. True hidden arcade remake gem from the 90s.

I used to play this as well as the first one in elementary school. Especially the one with the balls and shapes that move around with the background music. It has lived rent free in my head for probably around 22 years.

I remember this game very well, I had an Olivetti PC at work, it was 1996 and I played Prince of Persia, every time I managed to finish the game, for the time it was really fun and it already seemed like a lot

I completed this game recently, in its hidden version for PlayStation 2... this is inside Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I played it with the AetherSX2 emulator, on my phone. What a masterpiece! Really impressive for the time and still looks amazing. Long live Jordan Mechner!

This game was also featured on one of the Club Kidsoft demo CD discs alongside The American Girls Premiere and Rockett’s New School way back in 1997.

I remembered playing this game on an old Macintosh Performa 6116CD computer while in At Ease (parental control software) after installation. I am getting a brand new copy of the actual game off of eBay (3.5” floppy disk version) and reinstall it on a Power Macintosh desktop computer (which I recently installed Kid Desk Family Edition from the CD). What is the keyboard combination for Kid Desk Family Edition (the Macintosh version)? I really need to add software to my young girl’s desk (The Magic School Bus Explores the Ocean, Rockett’s New School, The American Girls Premiere, etc). Once I have a young girl, I could possibly name her Samantha.

This was the 1st version of Prince of Persia that I played. My school exclusively had Macintosh computers thought we had a DOS PC at home. When I got the DOS version for my home PC, I was disappointed with how ugly the graphics were compared to this Mac version.
havent thought about this game in decades. I think it affecvted my brain more than I realised <3

I'll never forget this game, my elementary school teacher was the creator! He was very proud of this game, he even taught me how Pokemon works, and got me into anime, it's something I'll never forget! Thank you Mr.Burton!

I think this must be [at least partially] a mod, as the model of the prince & life counters are from the 2nd game, as is the sword model, and the doors also look different, as do the potion bottles

I never played DOOM as a kid so I had no idea this was a reference to that in its visuals. I loved the Japanese SNES Bomberman games though. Played 'em on a PowerPC Mac emulator. 4 & 5 (with the bunnies) was super fun.

I had this game for Mac back in the early 90s and one day we lost the manual, and found out that we couldn't get beyond level one without it because you have to drink that stupid letter potion that corresponds with the letter in the manual and it infuriated me to no end
