Deepest thanks go to everyone who took part in this important interfaith liturgy for world peace, including seven of our local Peace Mala schools, dignitaries from the City and County of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for West Glamorgan and the High Sheriff of West Glamorgan. Thanks also to our wonderful faith representatives and talented musicians including Steve Balsamo, Lee Michael Walton, Fr Tim Ardouin and Leslie Sheills. Special thanks go to Canon Hugh Lervy and members of St David's Church Morriston, and to Bishop Cherry Van of Monmouth, the former Archbishop of Wales John Davies and Canon Jason Jones of the Diocese of Menevia. Also Bishop Michael van Buren Schele and Bishop Angie McLachlan who travelled a considerable distance to be with us. We are all members of the same human family. By sharing the message of the Golden Rule to treat others as we wish to be treated, there is real hope for peace in our troubled world.

Loved the film. My Gwillim family hailed from Llangiwg and traveled to the Australian goldfields in the 1850s. They kept the Welsh language alive at home, as did other Welsh diggers, creating a Welsh-speaking enclave among the community of miners. My father even spoke a bit of Welsh during his childhood. I brought my family to visit this little church in 2011 when the bluebells were out. The place has such a warm, wonderful feeling. Almost two centuries since, and we who are gone still nurse a longing for Wales and its old treasures... 😉 I'm so glad you're taking care of it and have such great plans for it. ❤

This unexpected tour of the peace gardens at Peace Mala HQ in Swansea Wales UK was such fun and also shares some of the founder's knowledge and respect of world faiths. Schools and community groups who engage in the project for Peace Mala Accreditation are encouraged to create peace gardens if they have the room.: www.peacemala.org.uk/accreditation-how-to-apply.php Thank you for making the film Lee Michael Walton. Please come and visit HQ again.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this film and especially to Lee Michael Walton who came up with the idea in the first place and has worked hard editing all the contributions from those who kindly took part. The criminals who committed those crimes have suffered severe karmic consequences. It might be an effective deterrent to show these consequences in a docudrama.

Thank you Laura. May the message and vision of the Peace Mala project touch the hearts and minds of more teachers and group leaders so that more children and young people will learn the message of the Golden Rule "Treat others as you would with them to treat you." We need to show compassion for all who share this beautiful planet...including the natural world and animal kingdoms. This is the only hope we have for the future. Greed, corruption and cruelty on all levels of life must stop. May it be so and so it is.

"Education is the only way that we can bring light into the darkness and turn things around. Attitudes, including prejudice, racism and all forms of ignorance are learned. We are not born that way. This is why education is vital, and Peace Mala has much to offer."

Pam, so well said. Your commitment to education is second to none through Peace Mala. Oprah Winfrey in her WW role needs to speak with you. Love the symbolism of the "first" knot. <3 Namaste.

Racism and Prejudice - what Peace Mala has to say: The vision and concept of the Peace Mala bracelet and project was a powerful response to the racial and religious bullying that erupted in the aftermath of 9/11. In the USA and across Europe we are currently witnessing protests over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr delivered his famous speech, “I have a dream” on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. We are now in the 21st Century and sadly racism lives on. We can ask ourselves why this is and the answer is very simple. Racism, like all forms of prejudice, is based on ignorance. The only way forward from this dire mind set is with education. Peace Mala works with school across the UK and we now have our first school in the USA - Sunrise Academy . Pam Evans, the founder of Peace Mala, is passionate about human rights and dignity. When creating the Peace Mala symbolic peace bracelet she made sure that every form of prejudice is tackled head on in the message of the first knot made on the bracelet. This is the message: FIRST KNOT: You are unique and special! Each one of us is important no matter what our race, colour, religion, gender, sexuality, ability, age, size, social class or caste.

Thank you Ryan...my understanding of 'iconic' ,in the modern sense, refers to highly original, influential, or unique, works of art, artists, or performers. I am, therefore, honoured with your brief comment and pleased that you found my talk of interest. Please check out my work for the Peace Mala educational charity which works mainly but not exclusively with schools to promote a more compassionate society and world: www.peacemala.org.uk I think you will like what we do.
