I'm taking the easy way out regarding the seam line along the sides and treating them like they belong there as if they were the lateral line organ found on fish and amphibians. It kind of makes sense that the Creature would have a lateral line to detect movement in the water.

@@JokerLaugh I had a really bad fit attaching the right arm to the body. I had to do some filing and filling with Milliput. I just primed the body with Vallejo US Olive Drab and it looks pretty good. I may leave that as the main color. I primed my Mummy with Valljo German Green Brown Primer and wound up just giving it a wash of Agrax Sepia. I didn't realize the Creature wasn't entirely covered in scales. There's a lot of smoother patches running along his body. In fact, it looks likes he's wearing gaiters around his ankles. I may paint these areas khaki and just need to figure out the fin color. He'll probably wind up looking like a TimMee army man!

Another great paint job! I'm here for painting tips and as I'm watching Frankenstein spin around, it got me thinking. What was he doing which would have him wind up walking away with the back of his foot up against the tombstone? Maybe he's the Ghost of Frankenstein sprouting from the grave? I wasn't sure what was arm and what was sweatshirt at the wrists but I see you went the same as me. I filled the back of the tombstone with a piece of XPS foam I sliced up with my Proxon. It didn't turn out too bad.

When it came time to attach the cape, I couldn't get the front right cape section into position without removing his right hand which luckily did not cause any damage. Like you, I did have to fill a gap at the shoulder join. I first tried Vallejo Model Putty but then went with Milliput. Thankfully the black paint pretty much hides my amateur repair. I did not glue the cape to the body which I may regret later. With no pegs on his feet to go into the stand, him staying upright is going to be tenuous.

Just curious as to why he's not wearing the ring that comes with the kit. I was hoping to use whatever color stone you went with. Looks like it might be a green stone on the box art. Finished my Wolf Man and I think it came out pretty nicely with a lot of help from your video. Thanks!

Glad the video helped, Yeah, it was a commission and the kit was sent to me, but sadly no ring inside to add.

@@JokerLaugh There was a lot of flash on the ring that came with mine so it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Wondering if my cape will have the same issue as yours. My Wolf Man had the same ankle gap yours did.

To be honest, if you could see all the metallic kits displayed together (past and present) it really is a wonderful display. I wish I could share photos of what I have seen, but the client does not want me to post the pics online. That being said, I would love to paint more of these skeleton warriors one day but in the traditional sense, just to see the difference of what a paint job can make.

I just started to assemble this model after a 60 year hiatus from Aurora Monsters. That gap at the ankle (7:10) is ridiculous. I wonder if it was there back in 1962? It makes me wonder if I assembled the calves incorrectly but too late to change it. Time to get out the Milliput! And I also have the mismatched calf halves you mentioned at 6:40. Here's a tip regarding the 'inside of the mouth" part. Paint the teeth and tongue before gluing it to the head. This will help you line it up inside the mouth as there are no guides built-in to help you.

£45 for the Revenge of the creature kit is a bargain Francis! Think I paid nearly £60 for mine. We used to go to the movie collectors fair at the NEC about 20 years ago and there was model kits galore plus special guests. Got chatting to Ingrid Pitt one time and Robert Vaughn of Man from Uncle fame. Candy wait to see the Nosferatu build. 👌🏻
