Looked like a fun family outing . I guessed / hoped you would pick up the Nosferatu but surprised you left the Harryhausen behind . I saw The Thing and Jaws figures there and was sure you were going to buy them . Prices seemed high but I guess the vendors had to pay high for the space rental .

£45 for the Revenge of the creature kit is a bargain Francis! Think I paid nearly £60 for mine. We used to go to the movie collectors fair at the NEC about 20 years ago and there was model kits galore plus special guests. Got chatting to Ingrid Pitt one time and Robert Vaughn of Man from Uncle fame. Candy wait to see the Nosferatu build. 👌🏻

Hi Derek, Yeah I went back to that guy to maybe do a deal for both the creature model and the same Nosferatu model but he was to busy talking to some guy to talk so I bought the classic Vamp kit for a slightly cheaper price from another vendor.... I'll keep an eye out for another Creature ;)

This is interesting. A good way to to tell the story of the fallout items. While you craft. all going towards your fallout kitchen and fridge. Would you dare to do the foods from fallout? You could display them in your fallout fridge eek!!

I did have that same idea but I opted away to keep the food real and not have props taking up much needed space etc. I might make a few food related props to display here and there on the windowsill for e.g.

It looks like the Star Ace 1/6 skeleton army model kit, but the base on that is one solid piece with the two skeleton "busts" attached and the main skeleton seperate. Also, it hasn't been released yet, it's still up for pre-order! However, the kit is exactly the same as the full painted "statue" that was released a few years ago. I'm thinking maybe what you've painted is a recast of the statue, with slight mods to make it look like it isn't (eg: the position of some arms are slightly different), and the base moulded and cast as three seperate pieces.

Would it be easier to prime with white, then coat with red, THEN transfer the decals? I feel like that would be easier and less likely to mess up the decal from over-painting.

Great result, how you made a purple dinosaur work i don't know but the end results prove it,it really looks special. I thought this was a vinyl Star Ace kit but of course it's a resin version, if you'd got the Star Ace kit it would probably have saved you hours in assembly, but i guess assembling a kit and getting all to fit is part of the fun!👍😄

Great job but I'm surprised by this,i have the Allosaurus from the same range and the vinyl pieces fit together very well with only very small gaps.Not much need for filling and CA glue held it together rock solid.

Hi Tom, Yeah, the figures needed a nice white prime anyway to lighten them up ready for the red paint to look vibrant. Since it was white anyway, no real need to print the white on the decals etc.

The cut aways are funny. I wasn’t expecting the Walnuts as pawns but it does make sense . Never thought of them. I was thinking maybe the lawn mowers as they are a defence mechanism.

Yeah, I did think of the lawnmowers, but they where more a last line of defence behind the main pieces so normally pawns are seen as the expendable guys. Small Wallnuts to the rescue.
