Thanks for the video. Do you think it’s best for a beginner to learn wheelies in 1st or 2nd gear? 1st gear seems too sensitive/glitchy/short to learn in. Thanks for any advice.

I think turning is a leaning with your knees kinda thing so try bringing your knees out when you wanna straighten out 🤷♂️

It's amazing that you don't clutch-up to wheelie and not run out of gear once you get to BP. I'd clutch-up in 2nd, but would run out of gear by the time the front wheel almost get to BP.

Im literally so close, I can feel it. I need to learn how to feather the foot brake, because I keep panic slamming it and chopping throttle instead of keeping the throttle steady but aye I feel you when you mentioned the obsession part. Really wish I had a super moto tho, fz6 is not the most ideal bike to be learning on lmao but I need it for my commute to work.

You can turn , you just need to add pressure to the left or right bar the same you would if both wheels were on the ground and you were hitting a corner at speed , and look in the direction you want the bike to go
@freedomgunsandliberty4 ай бұрын
To turn you turn your front wheel the direction you want to go and lean. You’ll get there

Crazy how I can’t explain BP to others, it’s like leaning back on school chair. What’s crazier is that moment when everything clicks and all makes sense 🤯 You’ll never be the same rider! My rides are now 90% on 1 wheel 🤣 much addictive

do you let off the throttle, rear brake, back on throttle? or just tap rear brake and keep steady throttle?
@justincrady2 ай бұрын
Stay on a consistent throttle but just barely putting pressure on the rear brake that will drop the nose of the bike down a little and with your consistent throttle pressure u will keep going..... hope that helps some. When u get used to u will notice a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE
@Bisse_Elison Жыл бұрын
Great Job ! Must be a fantastic feeling to unlocking this thing. Do you keep the throttle steady and adjust with the brake or do you sort of do both gas and brake alternatively ?

I'm able to get the bike to the balance point, however, I'm still struggling to keep the wheelie at a constant speed. When I feel I'm at the balance point, I'm literally sliding of the seat and usually sitting at the very tail of the seat. The main difference I see in this video (compared to my wheelies), is that when you start dropping the front wheel a bit, only a little bit of throttle gets it back high enough, while in my experience I feel like I have to add way more throttle and then I'm picking up speed. I'm doing it on an exc 450. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
