MTD needs to do a recall it’s a safety hazard the fuel tank is right by it you could get burned badly !

It’s just regular ATF don’t remember the specific type, it had a lot of water in it somehow. I think through the dipstick tube when it rains. It also had some clutch material transmission is old and has sit for a long time. Honestly it needs a rebuild but it’s kinda pricey.

@twoeaglesgarage6223
@twoeaglesgarage6223 8 ай бұрын
There’s a harness under the handle bars, individual wires that can be unplugged. White wire will be battery power, black and yellow will be ground. Check those first, if no power then it’s a blown fuse or broken wire, if no ground find and clean them. The brown wire powers the dash lights key on not running. Yellow/red is the kill switch and cdi power. Link below is for a wiring diagram should be close to the same as yours www.kawieriders.com/attachments/bayou-220-wiring-diagram-png.74650/

Is she still runnin good thinking bout doing this on my 70 f100 with a 360 in got a holly 670 I need to put on her but done have the 4 barrel intake yet would this 2 to 4 barrel adapter work until I can get a intake how dose it run
@twoeaglesgarage6223
@twoeaglesgarage6223 Жыл бұрын
It actually still runs very well, the only issue I have had is with the advance timing port on the edelbrock carburetor it has vacuum on both ports at idle, I have not been able to determine the cause yet but other than that it runs great it gets out of its own way now lol Be prepared to take some time to adjust it it’s not hard just time consuming You will need actual bolts to hold the adapter to the intake instead of actual studs If you have an automatic you will need a lokar kick down bracket I took a steel rod and made a custom throttle linkage to fit with the setup bc the stock one will not work Unfortunately I did have to park it due to leaking brake line and transmission pan as I let my daughter ride with me (she loves this truck) it’s unsafe to drive with the leaking brake line (still use it around the neighborhood) I’ll get an update soon unfortunately funds are tight and parts keep going up I will do a cold start update soon she usually fires right up Just a friendly tip you can get en edelbrock aluminum 4 barrel intake from summit to fit this engine and the price is fair it was the cheapest one I could find
