when it storms though do i have to worry about a short?????😰 i just put mine in but now im panicking over weather or not rain will damage the unit from the outside. any one happen to know if these window a/c units are weather proof???🥶
@WelcometotheFamily14 күн бұрын
The outside of the unit is made to be in the rain and that is why it goes through the window. Make sure that there is a slight tilt towards the outside and the water will go to the outside that is how these were designed. AC units are heat pumps that move heat energy to the outside.
@shinobiclan89934 күн бұрын
@@WelcometotheFamily1 thanks, yea i got a slight tilt to it. just a shitty window that wasnt designed for it but i made it work anyways lol

You are VERY helpful - thank you SO much. My son and I bought 2 of the exact airconditioners you show here in your video, and if not for you, we would have had difficulty. You went over EVERYTHING, and we are very grateful. We appreciate you from New Jersey!

I had this model installed into my apartment windows today, and they installed the filter compartment 1-2 inches away from the wall, obstructing the ability to remove it completely. Any tips for this? Other than contacting my landlord, again...
@WelcometotheFamily15 күн бұрын
Take a vacuum cleaner to it and see if the attachments can remove the dust from the outside. That may help, I have always removed them to clean them.
@ramyahm73157 күн бұрын
It worked 😊👍👍👍👍👍
@CODGamer91378 күн бұрын
There's also dust inside the vents where the filter goes
@WelcometotheFamily14 күн бұрын
You can use a vacuum with a hand attachment to clean those out just make sure to not apply pressure to the metal fins as they can bend easily. They are also razor sharp and can cut you. If they get bent then they will not work right and lose cooling efficiency.
@CODGamer91374 күн бұрын
I'm gonna try that. Thanks

Mine is tight and doesn't move. Any suggestions?
@WelcometotheFamily111 күн бұрын
First make sure the clamp is opened to remove tension. Once the clamp is undone tap underneath the seat with a hammer and it should move. Do not hit the reflector with a hammer as it will break the plastic cover.

There is a piece of styrofoam in mines does that come out ??
@WelcometotheFamily115 күн бұрын
The styrofoam inside the air conditioner is an insulator that stays in the unit to keep cold air inside the house and hot air outside the house.

I had one unit that did not turn on the compressor (vendor immediately gave me a replacement) and 2 others that worked great. I would suggest plugging them in to see if they work and be able to return them if the unit does not work when you turn it on for 15 minutes.

How do you do this for a 4 stroke 160cc
@christophermcguire644012 күн бұрын
U don't mix gas and oil in a 4 stroke. They should have seperate gas and oil compartments.

@@christophermcguire6440 Thank you I just wanted to double check and ask I have been just using straight 87 but I remember in my old one I used to mix it this one's a four stroke so I've only been using straight 87 wondering if I've been doing damage. Thank you!

How much bar and chain oil does it take or how much do I put in ?
@WelcometotheFamily1Ай бұрын
I fill up the bar/chain oil reservoir with around 1/4 to a 1/2 of a quart or so and check it every time I refill the gas as they both go fast.
