Just to wanna be a pastor, is a narcissistic decision
@DLJ-j5i

The issue is God has given everyone a platform. Jesus had THOUSANDS that followed him. It is not the following but what is happening to the following of the crowds. Jesus fed 5000 men PLUS children and women… so if Christ was alive in 2024 he would be considered a mega Pastor and the Pharisees would have something to say in 2024.

Very good, Doug. I've watched all your videos. Glad you opened up comments. It's great to see you serving the Lord in this capacity. Sometimes I see a little of your dad in your preaching. 🙂Soon and very soon we are going to see the Lord.

@@DougEaton Yes. David has had privilege of ministering as lay pastor (in addition to ranching) for the past 5 years. We moved to SE part of state 20 years ago. We have many opportunities to share gospel with people in our daily lives. We're watching the world grow darker and waiting for our Lord. It sure appears to be getting close. Are you in full time pastor position now? Do you have sermons on a church website too?

Glad to hear all is going well and David is doing some ministering. I work full time in administration at a Christian university. I only fill pulpits from time to time, but I do teach adult Sunday school regularly at our church. I also run fightoffaithblog.com. God is good, and mom and dad are still doing well.

It’s dangerous to put a pastor on a high pedestal. They are human just like us. When they are put on a pedestal there are two kinds of outcomes. Either he becomes a puffed up narcissist or becomes too afraid to confess his downfalls due to public shame outside of the community.

Fight or Faith I watch the video you posted of a pastor die after preaching which was a lie🤦🏻‍♂️ JHON 8.44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies...

What’s wrong with Mark Driscoll?

When he was serving at mars hill church he treated his congregation poorly when they questioned him about some personal allegations. Instead of taking the supposed criticism humbly and peacefully he berated his own church. There’s a podcast about it “What Happened at Mars Hill”

No, people get abused by their church for years and years on end, while all of their fellows and church leaders either ignore 9r excuse it. The christian church is a hopelessly corrupt cult that destroys souls and leaves people hollow.

The community... allot of people do not have an "undescribable" voice in their head, or believe the lightning was a sign, or get a benefit to submitting to an idea or fantasy and then when the community / leader that was actually supporting them turns out to be as useless as fantasy they move on.

The whole entire model of "church" has been played out and a fresh manna is needed for the next generation. It will be based on power and the word rather than enticing speech and theological wrangling.

Your looking at it as if people don’t question faith. Going to a church and getting preached at doesn’t answer any questions or make the person feel they are loved by god, it honestly makes them feel unwanted. If you quit math because your math teacher was rude and didn’t help you understand anything, was your faith in math or the teacher? If god loves me then no one should have to talk down or threaten me with hell to make me a believer, sometimes it even feels like the preacher or church is judging you. I am currently the closest I’ve ever been with god, mostly because of maturing secondly because I realize the Bible is a wise man giving me good advice to live happy and lovingly, also I realized gods threats of hell and damnation don’t mean anything if I am a good person, take care of my duties, true to my god and repent. Hope this didn’t come off as a hate comment, just disagree!

Also, yelling at kids or young people not to judge others or your going to hell, makes people afraid because they know they judge people. But a clam preacher saying something like “don’t judge others, we all do and it’s a sin, we should try not to but we are not Jesus and will never be perfect, but we should strive to be” makes people understand it’s not about judging people it’s the intent. You have to judge people, how safe do they look, Will they be a good employee, wil they take care of your kids, are they a good teacher, etc. I understand it worked and works for some people, but this is why some don’t like it. And also wouldn’t this video come of a judgmental? Your questioning someones faith because the message the preacher was giving didn’t feel like the god loved that person?

christianity never made sense to me why do i have a sin that i did not commit why do god have to kill soneone who is perfect to forgive us why jesus prayed for the father what will happen if jesus the father and the holy spirit ordain a tree to become a different color and i always received push back and just believe. if god gave us intellect and that's what differce us from other creatures it religion should reel you in instead of pushing you back especially when your whole afterlife depends on that. thankfully i looked into other faiths and i found a perfect faith a faith that i hated and when i dove a bit and understood it reeled me in and it clicked

I’m the guy in blue. I have tattoos. I’m covered in sin but not because of the tattoos. It’s because of something way worse. I’ve disobeyed God-to His face-countless times. But even though I am the worst of all sinners, Christ died for ME! I know Jesus has forgiven me for all my sins, because the Bible tells me so.

I m scared of conditioning to that this government us doing but you keep your faith strong in God and put him before anything television related I am gonna go through similar things you are as a person the DEVIL is gonna put destractions before you have to defend yourself from that. Pick up your cross and go find a quiet place where you can be alone with god and your TV watching won't be a problem you will have no interest in it cause God will make want to be with him more instead of being dead spiritually sitting in front of a TV all day. I don't know how many times God has called me into my bedroom to be alone with him. I have chosen the TV instead. You know how that makes me feel like dog crapp.
