If y’all haven’t already, you should check out the group that performed before Dimash…(with the guy who has rock star hair..lol) They’re called Lion or Lion Band. They do a great copy of “It’s My Life”. Quite epic actually. They’re a Taiwanese group… really good!!

Soy fan de de MJJ, me pareció decepcionante esta interpretación. La letra de la canción que escogió ( Earth Song) es un excepcional mensaje y debe ser cantada con manejo del inglés y buena modulación. Esperaba más. Es Dimash. A su altura

i agree. Dimash more than made up for this (although I think he did really well) when singing Daybreak his first concert. In fact, it is one of many of my favorite performances. The emotion plus holding his had out at the end had me in tears.

Angelic voice ofc. This perfection is exquisite, yet I cant make myself listen because I am too fluid in english myself, and unfortunately I end up hearing all the flaws. The misspronounciations and missweighting, the lack of nuance in emotion, or rather the wrong kind of nuance, as western languages are expressing emotion with different responce in tones. He shortens and prolongs the wovels completely in the wrong part of the words, and sometimes lack completely the words that gives the sentences logic meaning. I understand this is early in his history of singing english and probably have taken lessons later. But stil I am sad I cant listen to it. MJ was my teenager idol and I even went across scandinavia several times for his concerts, starting with Bad Tour, and I befriended his Norwegian "son" which he took under his wings and personally tought him to sing and dance, and is looking like a clone of him still today. So I know exactly how hard MJ's songs are to sing. He is a very talented man, probably the best vocal artist in the world even, and yet this, which is my dream that he would do honors is ruined for me, because I cant isolate his voice from the language in my head 🥺
