That's the "self-found" buff on hardcore servers - makes you unable to trade, mail and use the auction house (so you can use items you obtain yourself).

Fear has a higher chance of breaking from direct damage, but it rarely breaks from DOTs.

@@bowlanachos This is exclusive to classic im 98% sure.

I had not trained maces at this point, but more importantly it has a poison proc that breaks Gouge, which can be a big problem in hardcore (especially when soloing dungeons).

Araj himself is quite weak - it's separating him from his adds that's dangerous. The Spectral Attendants have a ranged 15-second slow, and the Skeletal Warlords will kill you in very few hits, so if you get hit by the 15-second slow and the adds for some reason reset their leash and keep chasing you, the run can end very quickly. I might do a non-hardcore run in the future, and in that case I'll definitely do him at level 57 or 58.

The steps in the video are a custom guide I coded for the rested XP addon (see how here: www.restedxp.com/custom-guides/). It's incredibly useful, and I would've definitely been slower without the addon making sure I remembered to do every step along the route I planned.

@@Prototype0618 The guide is obsolete at the moment, since it's based around logout skips (which are now removed from the game). I'm currently working on a 1-60 era (non-hardcore) speedrun that uses death skips (but no logout skips), and which makes a lot of improvements to the route by making greater use of HS batching. Once that is complete, I may publish the guide. However, feel free to message me on Discord (Kamisayo#1381) and I'll gladly help you out with planning your run.

tru dat, but id give easiest class definitely to hunter solely cause of ranged autos n feign death...also, pet management is on higher level with warlock

​@da23injulecz with fear you dont even need a tank pet.. as hunter your pet is always in danger of dying.. as a lock its not cuz fear.

I used a custom guide I coded specifically for this speedrun.

This is a speedrun, so I don't level First Aid since it's a time loss (won't have enough cloth for the city-turnins which give massive XP).

When recording those crits, I had a 5.5k non-crit on a warrior. Really a shame it didn't crit, or there would've been a clip with 11k in the video.

Without a doubt the run into ZF is the part of the entire run from 1-60 that makes me the most nervous.

Warlock is a great hardcore class once you learn to utilize all the tools of the class - can definitely recommend. I'll be releasing the full footage of level 54 to 60 from this run in a few weeks (unfortunately the only part I recorded in full). If I have time, I may also do another go at the 1-20 section and upload a video of that to show how to get quickly and safely through the early levels.

Died to UC elevator because of a lag spike and never went back. That instantly killed it for me.
