Do yourselves a favor and try to actually learn Spanish. You can pop this cortometraje up in the VHL Supersite Vtextbook. There are options to turn on Spanish Closed Caption and Spanish transcript. Sure, you can come here for an English explanation, and get a good grade, but you are doing yourselves a disservice to your education by not learning it.

Summary : Irene is a young blind girl who is talented and independent. She goes to the library to listen to recordings of Pablo a reader of poems. She falls in love with his voice and gets information about him one day when she stays late at the library. She begins to call him without identifying herself. Pablo is alone and feels sad. Without realizing it, he falls in love with Irene and is anxious to know who she is. He is suspicious that the mysterious woman is someone who listens to his recordings. He goes to the library to find out information about her and finally they meet.

Simplemente adicción, antiguamente había chicas españolas adictas a la heroina. Como paliativo, los servicios sociales las suministraban metadona de ahí que la llamen "Miss Metadona".

Adicción a la heroína, le llaman meta pq es con lo q les" calman" en los puestos de atención sanitaria.Y al "lumbreras"que dice conocer la calle ,no ha salido ni de su acera, decir "antiguamente había chicas enganchadas a la heroína " es de una simpleza brutal, q se de una vuelta a cualquier barrio pobre o los extraradios dónde estás mujeres siguen trabajando.
