Thank you for all your good courses and teaching you are the only guitar player that i learned from. I was always self thought musician. In the beginning classical piano later also guitar. I never had could found my self in standard tuning and found out about dadgad and other tunings. I searched for years for my own sound. Listening to acoustic music. Also i tried to find the best sounding acoustic guitar sound by listening guitar music when i found the best acoustic tone i found out that it was you with that beautiful lowden guitar. And thats what i bought. And also your playing and technic they made so much sense to me i followed everything of your courses and they are still my building blocks and dont use any other than your teaching. So thats how much i appreciate you and your music and your teaching. Greetings martin from Holland

Thank you, Martin, for this kind and heartfelt comment which make my day. I am happy and honored to know my work and path have been such an inspiration to you, and above all that you have found your own moto. It's a never ending process and after a while we become our own master and teacher. May you continue to thrive and explore. Greetings from France.

Pierre Bensusan, you are the greatest. Your musical path is so beautiful. I remember that night near Poitiers in the 90s when you filled the hall with just your guitar because the P.A. broke down at the beginning of the concert. Have been a huge fan ever since. Merci.

Thanks bro . But I can't figure out how to do E minor pentatonic on standard tuning. Open E then still have to hit G on same sixth string. It s doable tho if I start on E of fourth string (seventh fret ).

The first time I heard Erik Visser (Flairck) aply this technique on his 12 string guitar was his 12 string arrangement of the amsterdamse grachten. It was the most beautiful sound I ever heart. And the first time a sound made me cry. He put it on record on my request. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3yYf3yMmZyEfpIsi=HNCyI4P-QS8ta6dJ kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5fTmWp9ZbitiLMsi=kCEYNdpknOdWotbB Also check out his solo in circus starting around 3:33 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqG5kKdpgtGMiKcsi=lHliO5bw042R73 Another example is his arrangement of this song by o'carolan. It's the 2th track of this record starting at 2:50. Intro and finale are dubbed but the rest is played the campanella way. He also played Caroline's concerto on his 12 string but that one was never published but a real fun to play. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJmwc3mGepZ_o9ksi=t00hc2dMuYM9XDQM

As said this works even better on a 12 string guitar using the 4 extra octave strings in what is known as campanella way of playing..... On a 12 string the eadg strings are paired in such a way the regular strings have octave strings running paralel on the bass site. Most people play both strings simultaneously but with melody playing it is also possible to plug only 1 of them. Take the gG pair. If I plug it in downwards direction with the thump I can choose to plug both or only the octave string and if I plug it with a finger in upwards direction I can choose to plug both or only the regular string. So a g can be played by pressing the 3th fret of the treble e string but also by plugging the g octave string. To play campanella I devide the melody notes between thump (playing the octave strings) and fingers (plugging the regular strings). Normal playing --3--2--0------------- -------------3--0------ ----------------------0- ------------------------- ------------------------- ------------------------- Campanella playing ----------0-------------- ------7-----------0----- --0-------------------0- ---------------0--------- -------------------------- --------------------------
