I’m new to this game but I hear it’s like 100 hours of just play and enjoy. Going to start tonight. The graphics look incredible. It also looks overwhelming but hopefully it’s not.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it! I will say I’m glad I chose “balanced” for my difficulty level. There’s been a couple of frustrating points for me just because I’ve never played this type of game before, but quick saving helps a lot. I think I currently have 65 hours into it, with a lot more to go. :) Have fun!

Ooof that was harsh, unmodded HK is completely free of turn pending bugs but sadly they can resurface with mods. Also I hope your throat gets better, your voice was really rasp this video

Saw you took the advice of a poster on your previous video about the merchant affinity. Here's my two cents. Hope it's not a bother: One thing to consider with your harbor/cothon placement is that adjacent market quarters yield gold bonuses. It sometimes cuts down on the amount of food a harbor may earn, but I think it's good to have multiple land tiles to build market quarters next to harbors.

I’m so glad it was recommended to me, because I am loving it! I think I only have a couple of things so far. Is there a way for it to be on the list of mods that can be chosen or “subscribed” to within the game? Like how the VIP mod is. I had a little trouble with installation, but honestly that was probably more user error, not anything to do with the mod. I’ve also heard that it drops you in the same spot depending on which character slot you choose, is there a way to have this be totally random? Just some thoughts. Let me know when it’s next updated on the site! I’ve been loving it so much that I’m considering using it for Season 9 as well.

Good episode. Did you saw in the culture screen how the Swahili were avaiable? You can preview which cultures you can pick in the next era with your current territories.

Oh no! Transcending is a risk with this mod. The territories you had only allowed to pick Aksmumites and the green player took that, so you needed to go for northwest africa to pick carthage or garamantes. Anyway, if you're not planning to go out of africa this era, there are 2 possibilities: Ghanaians in west africa or Swahili in east africa, so have that in mind or you can be forced to transcend again.

U could also go a bit further in role paying by learning abt the ideology of the culture and role playing ther choices like in civics and stuff
