The spirit of that command is referring to creeps who are speaking falsely yet using the name of God as their source of authority. It has nothing to do with the quote from this movie, because what is occurring in this movie has absolutely nothing to do with trying leverage religious authority to make some kind of declaration that we're all supposed to heed. (Besides, please explain what 'bejesus belt' even means, such that it's a deliberate religious reference...)

Jim Carrey is my favorite comedian! But I believe the two choices are love and the Machiavellian principals. Fear is a subheading under his rules. If you were to climb the Big Chief in Howe Sound with me with love only and not a healthy amount of fear ... I'd send you home.
