This literally just happened, well, it's been happening, but a piece broke off tonight. I was looking for a temporary solution until after next spring. How long did you use it? How well did it do? I have everything ordered to take care of it tomorrow.

as someone just starting out watching a DIY channel, i found this missing helpful hints for items that you performed but didn't explain or skipped over with the time lapse. I appreciate Simple Sunday, its mainly the reason I subscribed, but I think it went too minimalist. I tried this as I loved you reproduction however it took about 5 attempts and side research to get something as nice as yours. 1. tips on using acrylic and Sharpie over one another then, the steps and techniques to covering up sharpie marker with acrylic paint for the excessive booboo's I had to cover up. 2. distances between the lines/arches or the diameter of each round Item you used as I found scaling the proportions evenly enough to look consistent. 3. Tips or links on how or how to practice tracing curves free hand and paint a perfect circle with just a pencil outline, and maybe a hack for the less experienced. 4. What type of paper you used and small detail of you paint water consistency you recommend and how long you recommend waiting in between coats for paint and Sharpie. 5. Lastly, why you started your sharpie from the inside out, after the mistake I made, I realized it was because the Sharpie that transferred to the ruler bled and streaked onto the rest of the paper. I am also aware I just started painting and art, I was drawing to your video and was excited to try it out, maybe even make little series however, trying to figure out these items which may be common knowledge for experienced DIY/Artists out there however, not for a newbie (in my experience). The description of Simple did quite translate to my piece, but I also assumed that the description of simple related to beginners. All that said, I did make some after figuring out and have made several. I like your channel, this is only some feedback I had. It is understandable when you are as experienced as you are, these topics are probably deeply inherit and muscle memory for you now. Hoping to get that same muscle memory too one day!

@@BeThrifty2 no no, please do not apologize, everything in the video was great, just some constructive feedback from a newbie who is not able to connect the dots yet. . . I love your videos, still very helpful in breaking me in.

Could you do this for all areas of the window frame? Like if there were damage at the top of the frame or side?

My dad uses a product called rock hard. It’s a powder you lightly add water to make paste like consistency. You apply it with a spatula, pushing some in the hole or rotten section. Make smooth & level with surface. It will harden to a rock like hardness. It’s paintable & sandable. This is good around windows & door trim especially where water spatter has rotten the bottoms. Remember the ole school weightlifter guy with the round ball weight bar above his head, that with be on the front of the can.

Sorry, it's a band-aid. Looks terrible. Sure you will remodel,. You could have purchased Frame wood and cut bottom 10 inches out and replace to match molding . This will continue again in a tear or two. Prevention us beeded

Thank you!! So I guess paint before flex seal! ?!?!? I appreciate you taking your time to make this video…. Always love seeing a woman taking the initiative and getting things done herself. I know I’ve learned things get done when I do it myself instead of waiting on a man to come through ;) well at least the men in my life

I had major buyer's remorse after a few months of owning this couch. It started pilling and the cushions quickly lost their density. I reached out to them to complain, and while they offered to replace the cushions, I felt like it wouldn't be worth it because it'll just start sagging again.
