@@PSKaqua I am sure you must have thought of this over and over again. Like any introduction of a new fish into the tank or some kind of a contamination with something outside of your fish tank.

Hello my friend!!! They're not as different as you say. These two products belong to the chemical function of filtration. They both filter water chemically, clarify water and act on organic compounds, among other small similarities. The video aims to show the similarities and differences.

Im sorry but this information will make alot of people veru unhappy, this product contains only anti bacterials.. besidd rafoxandium acriflavinium chloride 1.4 mg, rafoxanide 0.66 mg, ethacridine lactate 3.7 mg, proflavin hemisulphate 0.26 mg, methylthioninium chloride 0.13 m. Ive used Octocil over 25 times and it totally destroy your filter.. if people believe it doesnt they will end op with some totally new problems - no2/no4.. You cannot feed like you used to for 2-3 weeks as you might have zero beneficial bacteria left.. im speaking only of my own personally experience.. ive neever used a product that will kill your filter moee than this.. in my 20 years experience in this hobby..🙏🙏

Hello my friend!!! I understand and thank you for your comment. However, the package leaflet doesn't mention any influence on the filter's biological matter. Since I can't tell either, because I can't see the bacteria in the filter, I mentioned that I did a 7-day maintenance with stability and prime to replace any bacteria that may have been lost. After a treatment, with whatever drug, we should always take care to replace any bacteria that have been eliminated during the treatment. Thank you very much for your testimony. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

@@PSKaqua Yes totaly agree.. this product is very hard on filter ..☺️🙏 just to keep fish happy and save i had to comment on this one, this product is the best on market for its purpose.. but have to be very aware afterwards, fish needs to recover after, and not run into no2/no4 or they will be destroyed even more after.. thanks for at great video my friend.. good job to spread this product as i mention is superior also better than metrodinazol 💪🙏

Hi do you have any experience with gill flukes on diskus ? Recently i saw my older discus loose appetite and started to scratch against the plants .sera tremazol was the only treathment i found . Im curious to hear your experience

Good review of the basics. Over the years I have been out of town for extended periods of up to 42 days utilizing nothing more than mechanical feeders without any significant problems. Many of my tanks exist SOLELY on Aquarclear Quick powerhead attachments using filter floss in it. It works great as a sole filter as well as a water polisher. The one thing to check before an extended leave is the impellor. Over time it builds up slime ("biofilm") and should be regularly cleaned. If not and a temporary power failure occurs, it may not be able to restart when the power returns.

@@apontutul Yes... They are different things. The cattapa has cattapa strata and the natural humin darkens the water. But in my opinion you can swap them, of course. You just won't get the black water effect that natural humin gives.

You have replicated the Amazon biotope but can Altums be also kept in a moderate to heavy planted tank? Tank is looking beautiful and the Altums are happy.

@@PSKaqua I need a suggestion from you. I am facing a big problem. The pH of my Discus tank is increasing even though I use 100% RO water. Before putting water in the tank, I take an empty bucket and put an air pump in the water and leave it for about 12 hours. Only water, air pump and an empty bucket and after 12 hours I add Seachem Discus buffer. For some time the pH comes between 6-7 but then on checking it again, it automatically reaches 8. The pH does not remain stable. I have tried everything but it is not becoming stable. This happens when I add air pump to the water. Without air pump, it remains perfectly fine.

But I agree with you, he could be in a bigger tank and that's what was planned, but the project I was going to do didn't materialize, however, the minimum liter for an adult flowerhorn is 200 liters and that's the size of the tank he's in. It's just below the recommended litre, yes, but he's fine. And in very good health, which is the most important thing.

Sorry mate, but it's not just about measurements of the aquarium or how many litres it has but also about the environment you make for the fish. I am not saying that the fish looks unhealthy, but as every fish, it needs some hiding spots. At least some plants. And not just a small stone in the middle. And also I very doubt that the fishtank has 200l. But it's your fish, and I understand that not everyone can afford what it would be best. No hard feelings. I didn't want to be critical. But in my point of view I try to make the fishes happy or to not have them at all. And to have a fish in a tank where it can barely spin, it's not my cup of tea. That's it. I wish you the best and am sorry for the little criticism
