I need to make a tabletop showing the different lights. The wide flood light is the one that dies quickly. I have 3 spot lights like the one mounted to the helmet, I call it the headlamp in the video. I recorded this video before the new charger arrived the EUC was on like 1 or 2 bars charge. The Pocket camera is too delicate to risk having it in my hand even with a lanyard.

Good video, thank you. That is a good white light. Electrified Rider has a bright tail-light mounted to the back of his helmet. He might have a link. 10:28 - Werewolf cub? @BklynOutdoorsАй бұрын
I have a helmet mounted tail light. Actually, I made a video about the lights I have... shit, did I forget to post that video too? These videos were posted late, btw, I thought I had posted them last week, but they were just sitting there waiting to be posted. I don't explore cemeteries at night. But that does remind me; there is a cemetery for the old Mental Hospital near by, it's just an empty grass field, no tombstones, just a sign saying what it was. I want to get a trail camera and mount it there for a few hours over night to see if it picks up anything weird.
@haroldsmith45302Ай бұрын
@ I did not mean to imply that you habitually explore graveyards after dark. It was comedic licence. I might have missed your EUC lighting video. The ominously-pushed-up soil phenomenon is more likely to be a thing at the Psychiatric Hospital cemetery. Don't let an undead arm grab you by the leg.

Dude! you made me very nervous riding against the flow of traffic on 17M! I cant believe how much the old back Playtogs plaza looks. That sports bar/restaurant whatever it is, used to be a Ground Round. Right where the Autozone is where the Burger King used to be, which I see was moved across the street next to the Mcdonalds. That Bagel Shop at 11:40, many years ago in the late 1970's was a pet store, I got a hamster there, that escaped from his cage and found his way into my bedroom wall, his skeleton is probably still in there. Dollar General at 11:55 was a carpet store in the 70's and 80's. That parking lot you rode around in minutes 13, that was the unemployment office, me and my friends would rides bikes there when they were closed. You passed my house at 14:45, it was on the other side of the street. When you crossed the street at 14:00 because of not being able to get over the bump, that bump has ALWAYS been there, we would jump it on our bikes when riding to the unemployment office to ride around their parking lot. I used to walk up that hill you rode up when I was going to Suny Orange. At 28:15 the building that you like, that was a building I had 1 class in, geology, talk about an old school building, lots of mazes and narrow hallways, was hard to find my class and when I did it was something out of the early to mid 1900's. Old chalkboards, actual old school single seat desks. Its funny at 31:25 you talk about parking lots, that school in my day, didnt have enough parking for the students, I was so glad I lived down the hill and could walk to class, because parking was a nightmare. I remember watching people following students to the car to see if they were leaving so they could grab their spot. At 42:15 the pond at Mt. Carmel I used to fish there as a kid.

Change seems to be the theme here. The last 5 years that I have been here has bee gradual change, businesses changing hands and a lot of new developments. BTW, that shoulder I rode on was really wide, the camera makes everything look closer, I was anxious editing the video, but during the ride it was fine. Couple times the camera perspective made it look like I was narrowly missing the curbs, but in reality I had plenty of space.

Thanks for this very interesting exploration of a new-to-us part of Middletown. Your level of control and agility is impressive: lots of tight pirouettes, turning your head to side without changing vehicle direction, almost stopping without stepping off, even though it was a windy day, etc. 👍 Trivia question that is unworthy of an answer: If "bi" means two, and "mono" means one, and if a two-wheeler is a bike, is a one-wheeler a mike? ... or an ike? ... or just a wheel?
@BklynOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Since making that video I stopped calling it a bike and now I just call it "The Wheel" (my motorcycle is now "The Bike") But now that you mention it, I got an idea, since they call it a unicycle, but UNO means one, should I just call it the UNOcycle? Also, definitely going to try and go back there tomorrow and record all the changes since I recorded this video back in March.

Good video, thank you, Bklyn. The abandoned insane asylum is indeed an interesting location. Each of the buildings has more architectural character than modern construction does. I hope your town saves them and can find a developer who will convert them into housing or shops etc. It would be an interesting neighbourhood in which to live. Watch out for broken glass and other sharps in the road trash around the asylum. Patching a punctured EUC tire requires disassembly and reassembly of the EUC and is a colossal, time-consuming PITA. It would be great if you were to post an itemized list of the riding equipment and accessories that you after field testing have found to be best for your purposes. I.E. brand and exact model, etc. Essentially you would be doing practical product research on behalf of your viewers and they could piggyback on your experiences. Some other EUC videographers do that. Perhaps the equipment list, if you choose to create one, could be posted in your paid-members-only section. At 05:30 approximately I thought I saw a pale face and two hands pressed against an upper window of the abandoned asylum. The mouth of the person - if it was a person - was open in a scream. 😱

A lot of the buildings that were closed off have been purchased and renovated, seems like part of a new school they made. The mental hospital seems to be one of only a few buildings that haven't been bought up, yet. I try my best to be aware of what's on the ground, to avoid potential problems, I cut out a part in the video, talking about the pine needles on the ground and how after a rain it could be really slippery... I talk a lot in these videos but I also cut out a lot from the final edit since half the time the stuff I am talking about isn't interesting to most people. Most of my gear I have is "no name" cheap amazon stuff that sells out and is gone for good. It's always a gamble, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's crap. Good thing is they have a good return policy.

Great video and excellent narration. Thank you, Bklyn. Other EUC videographers have described sudden onset of slightly-strange tire sensations, quickly followed by a flat and a crash. In some cases the rim got damaged too. If a year has passed since your last tire check, I agree you should definitely check your tire pressure before next ride. The "deer" you thought you saw on the grounds of the insane asylum that night (Halloween night) were probably shape-shifting goblins. Herbivorous ones. Probably. 😈

Actually the audio improvement is from the camera, I'm using the DJI Pocket 2 which is much better for low light than the OSMO Action (which I used in the previous video), the bonus seems to be the sound quality, the Action camera was picking up a lot of weird distortion which I had to lower the volume of in post, the camera seems to handle the audio much better, didn't even have to adjust it.
