ciao Adriana, grazie dei tuoi meravigliosi complimenti <3 nella mia carriera durata 16 anni (dall'1984 al 2000) ho fatto tutto quello che una cantante possa desiderare, dal 2000 mi sono dedicata alle mie figlie e allo studio di doppiaggio della mia famiglia e non me ne pento. Cantare è stato un impegno enorme (perché sono sempre stata una perfezionista e studiavo fino a 8 ore al gg) e una enorme soddisfazione. Quando canto lo faccio solo per me e i miei cari :) perché non mi alleno più come una volta.

Beautiful voice and outstanding stage presence with phrasing and facial expressions. She's easy on the eyes too! Fell in love with her as Mimi when I watched La Boheme with Pavarotti. She is Mimi to me.

An Italian singer venturing outside Italian opera into French roles (Manon, Faust's Marguerite) is admirable. Some of the greatest Italian soprani never ventured outside their country's opera, and in the best of cases sang the italianized versions of French or German operas. Brava.

check out her performance in 1986 Don Carlo conductor Karajan. Her Elisabetta is wonderful. Beautiful singing. I saw the live broadcast from Wien in 1986.

io non lo sapevo... ... ...! Conosco Fiamma Izzo per via del doppiaggio, ma fino a ieri ignoravo di quanto fosse un'artista ancora più completa: è anche un soprano incredibile. E' stata una grande cantante lirica in quegli anni e nella sua persona sta un soprano che, se avesse continuato quella carriera, sarebbe stata tra i maggiori al mondo, secondo me. Si è distinta in modo eccellente anche in altro, sempre in ambito artistico. Personalmente, sono molto affezionata a "la Bohème" eppure la sua Mimì è subito finita tra le mie preferite di sempre, è stato immediato. Canta ogni cosa con l'anima, proprio come deve essere fatto e come una vera attrice sa fare, senza lasciar spazio all'inutile solo per far mostra di sé come per lasciar intendere che, "ehi, io so cantare". Fiamma Izzo merita davvero tanto. PS: so che sarò di disturbo... ma... se mai Fiamma in persona leggerà questo commento, vorrei esprimerle la mia ammirazione e, inoltre, volevo dirle che ieri mattina mi sono permessa di mandarle un messaggio via facebook, anche se sarà finito sicuramente tra lo spam. In ogni caso .. tanta ma tanta sincera stima. Emma

L'ho scoperta qualche tempo fa e da quel momento mi sono interessato a Lei per le Sue qualità musicali ma anche umane, per quel poco che di Lei ho potuto apprezzare...La Sua decisione di ritirarsi nel bel mezzo di una carriera che avrebbe un luminoso futuro mi è dispiaciuta. Grazie per quelle poche ma intense esibizioni che si possono ascoltare ...Un Suo sconosciuto, ma fervente ammiratore..., essendo anch'io musicista...

A beautiful scene from Massenet's Manon, made even more beautiful by the presence of the ravishing Fiamma Izzo d'Amico. Fiamma's gorgeous, clear voice is always well placed and focused. Her performances are known not just for great singing but for her intelligent and thoughtful interpretations. Any performance of Fiamma's makes me hungry for more.

Whenever I listen to Fiamma, at the very dramatic moments in the opera, I feel the urge to give her a big hug and whisper, "It's all going to be alright." Not that I am actually hugging Fiamma but hugging Mimi or Manon, or Violetta, because Fiamma doesn't just 'sing' a role, she 'inhabits' it, so convincing are her portrayals. Not many singers can do that, be that convincing. Fiamma can do it and does do it.
