@@chickenfanactic I have a lot to learn about them still. But one thing I'm realizing you can keep a small flock indoors in bird cages as pets it seems. Just gotta keep up with the tray. They seem easy to train and very sweet if handled. They are more respectful than chicken chicks. They walk around sleeping brooder mates instead of stepping on them.

Mine was burning oil and running rough.

The lady I got the eggs from said they are red Pyle partridge. I just ordered a cuckoo silkie female from Meyer hatchery they only had 1 available so I hope she will be available on my hatch date I'm looking forward to a cuckoo silkie

@@chickenfanactic OH wow congrats!!! I can't wait to see her grow up. I like them because they look like baby owls to me. KZbin is not letting me upload. I went away for an hour and my video was at 0% upload. Not sure what's happening.

I got the bag at tractor supply it's palletized bedding it last so much longer than shavings keeps moisture down less flies I can just scoop out the momma hens poop piles every day it's so much easier and better than shavings

It's exciting I have a broody hen that is hatching chick's right now she has 13 chick's with couple more eggs yet to go

@@chickenfanactic Oh that's great. I'm using an incubator. I did a broody hen last year and got my sweet rooster from her.

I started with the incubator then had a hen go broody so let her finish and do all the work

13 or 14 have hatched already she it being a good mom

@@chickenfanactic Aww I totally understand. I have a very nice flock now too of even tempered birds. My rooster is a huge Black Copper Marans that's a gentle giant. And then I have some easter eggers, marans, faverolle and one silkie. You can see them on my channel. I need to make an update. I'm planing to do a showcase of each one. Thanks. Happy to be here.

I'm sorry your poodle is going this. It was hard seeing him go into his attacks with nothing I could do help him. Hopefully your vet gives you better advice than I got with mine

@@chickenfanactic I actually have a really good vet. She treats the root cause of things and she explains everything very thoroughly so I understand everything. She put him on medicine for his mitral valve and x-rays were done and echocardiogram was ordered. Unfortunately, his heartworm got worse and he went into congestive heart failure, and he wasn’t able to breathe very well and he was suffering in so much discomfort. He was blind as well and 17 years old and I didn’t want him to suffer anymore so we laid him to rest yesterday morning. Thank you so much for the video. I’ve learned a lot and it really made a difference so thank you. ♥️
