It was not only misusing money. From what i heard from Mike's videos, he was not informing the board of all people reaching out to the foundation for help and that in fact the woman who he threw into the wall was one of those.. He was also namining and shaming people on his u-tube channel, one of whom was threatening to sue both him and the board. His behaviour imo disallows him from being on any board.

I have gone back and forth on this, then I just stopped following the whole thing because it was too much drama and frankly I had better things to do with my time. The idea that Mike does not have cancer is crazy. The Aftermath Foundation did not handle the split with Aaron optimally and there were issues on their side. That being said, there was evidence that Aaron was becoming a liability. Then Aaron presented his side in a passionate way but the foundation responded defensively. That was a bad move on the foundation side and played to Aaron's side. Then Aaron started doing things like attacking people etc and I stopped following him because I did not like his actions. The Rinder videos include new information that sways it more towards Rinder and the Aftermath Foundation than Aaron. Illegal things that could cause serious issues for the foundation. So at this point I think both sides made mistakes, both sides have some valid points, but I trust Mike Rinder more. Regarding his taking time off after he left COS....give him a break. He did bad things but he was in a cult. He was indoctrinated just like everyone else and he too is a victim. When people leave cults, especially in their 40s with no money or way to support themselves they need to focus on rebuilding their lives and healing from the mental trauma of the cultic beliefs. He is allowed to take time to heal and create financial stability in his life so give him a break.

His recounting of why AAron had to leave the foundation was exactly what I suspected, actually. I’m sure Mike just wanted to set the record straight, in case he doesn’t have long. As for the tax exempt status, Mike, Mark and Claire have addressed this multiple times. Tons of documents have been turned over to authorities, and they did the A&E series. The government has not acted on it so far. That’s not Mikes fault and it doesn’t mean they won’t.
