Serendipity brought me here. This summer I saw The Resort, an intriguing tv series starring Cristin Milioti and Luis Gerardo Méndez (as Baltasar). Soon after I watched Palm Springs, again with the same actress. Thanks to the movie soundtrack I stumbled upon "August 10" by Khruangbin, a band I never heard of before (better late than never!) and I was completely enthralled by their songs. Last week I went to their live concert in Milan and the day after I searched for similar artists...well, as they say the rest is history. "Vapor Waves", "Eclipse Solar", "Cosmic Boogie", "Komorebi"...In the wider sense, Baltasar led me to Balthazar, Johanna and Santiago. Never heard of "Indra's net"? That would be a perfect song title. Hope to see you soon in Italy!

Their clothing and band structure is very Khruangbin. The vibes are similar in music style but not at the same time. BALSTHVA is so dope! I need them in the world. Khru didn't invent their music style. They simply brought it into consciousness with their take on it. The Khru band is a melding of various rock, jazz, psychedelic funk, with ethnic tones, riffs, vocals and percussion(s), all of intertwining their own flavor, Balsthva is doing the same and they're so good at it. They will evolve and become more amazing. Dope vibes, I would love to hangout with BALSTHVA. ❤

I just discovered that Ozric Tentacles had once an affair with Khruangbin and as a result they gave birth to three psychedelic space rock funky children with Middle Eastern features, latin blood in their veins, with an open mind and the willingness to explore the recurring hidden patterns in the universe. Jokes aside, it was love at first sound! Don't be misled by a passing resemblance to other bands. Balthvs has the right stuff to create the uniqueness of his own style. Anyway, if you think of it, the laws of nature arising from the universe are intrinsecally fractal in a way that patterns and schemes keep repeating at smaller scales with some slight variations. We can use this space as a time capsule and be sure that someone in the future will say that the band named "Paradox", "End of eternity", "Event Horizon" or whatever pays tribute to the unique sound of Balthvs. Nihil sub sole novum.

Started listening to this and had already bought this vinyl before the album finished.

Good stuff... except for Wicked Game. All their vocals are really weak and wimpy on that song

Balthvs y los hermanos Gutierres es lo mejor que he pilado el Latinoamérica en los últimos años, como Bogotano muy orgulloso soy gran admirador de Kruangbin me encanta que alguien por acá haga eco de se vibra.

Siendo bogotano de 60 y seguidor de Kruangbin hace unos 5 años me pareció súper refrescante ver estos compadritos tan elegantes acabo de pillarlos y ya voy recorriendo feliz sus videos.
