For the floaty jump around 1:18 and whatever you wanna call this part around 1:50, my speed goes down really quick. Is this related to how much drift I have built up and release? I'm almost certain it is, but I wanted your opinion.

It's a timing issue for the most part. Typically, the loss of speed like that happens when you complete a drift and your speed is similar to your speed that's dropping. The 1:18 one is you used your boost extension earlier than finished your drift and the 1:50 is because your similar speed as your speed when you finish your drift, so that one just extend the drift more. other than that it's all a timing thing Nvm the 1:18 looks like you started drifting late so still a timing thing but might be because of not getting enough drift to be fast enough to avoid the weird bug mechanic

Btw, you can do a trick that you possibly have seen other speedrunners doing. You could use your thrusters at the start ( flying things)while accelerating(going forward) and while going forward, start pressing the go back button. That gives you an extra 1-2 secs and is a huge time saver

For videos this short the answer is no. But, I've thinking about it for videos that are longer. The Endo video doesn't have any music because I wanted people to hear what the car sounds like. Anyway, If I'm able to get to Unreal I will upload a video of that race, most likely with music.

Tip: at 1:20 time your boost extension with your drift so basically when you end you drift you press the extension and flip will make this section faster (lap1 through lap 3) *I think the chain drifts was accidental on like lap 1 so I'm not gonna comment about it* Towards the finish line instead of having to flip just hold your drift slightly longer before starting the next drift. You'll be 40kph faster and won't need the flip to correct yourself. Anyways good run

I see what you mean about timing the boost extension with my drift then flipping. Never could figure out what to do there. The chain drift on lap 1 was an accident. I have a bad habit of holding the drift button, especially on bumpy maps. Thanks Jam.
