WHY was there a "Harald Schmidt Show" that looked exactly like a New York counterpart? It's bonkers. The format is identical to that famous show - absolutely identical. Even down to the skyscraper background? Heck, I've been to Germany - and maybe I've missed something - but even in Berlin, aside from the famous TV tower... it's not a city with skyscrapers. I had to look up this show - it ran until 2003. It must've been quite popular for Björk's agent to say "you go on it, Björk - good for fame and business" Sublime. Here we have Björk on a fake USA german television show complete with big skyscrapers in the backdrop, the wooden desk and the sofa seat - like Germany wants to emulate the USA. Björk is amazingly unique, I guess - who knows - but this is amazingly stupid.

Harald Schmidt is known for his biting humour and sharp, intelligent sarcasm and for treating his guests so badly that many are almost afraid of him. The Anti-Fallon or Anti-Cordon, if you like. This was one of the rare moments when he was really nice to a guest. Obviously because he adores Björk so much.
