going back to the bass boom maybe the angle of the speakers to the wall is sending the bass into the corner of the wall creating a mixed bass response. maybe some kind of baffle arrangement behind the speakers to flatten the bass signal would do the job.

Ya you are correct buddy, but its not the new mics, the boom was there when i was recording. I cant pull the speakers out more which is what i would prefer due to space, guess i will have to experiment with plugging the rear bass reflex port. Cheers!

Dream system right there…plus Johnny Hartman 👌🏼 I’ve got the 4/5 classics, love Spendors. I’ve also got a single t7/x. Would like to add a second one. Did you find it hard to integrate? My room’s only 10x14 🙏🏼
@Cats-N-Music

Thanks for the super kind comments buddy! To be honest, with one vs two. U win some, u lose some. The picture is not as rosy as what most reviewers or people say that it's always better with two, unless you wanna fill out certain voids in your room. My room is even slightpy smaller than yours. Previously with one, i was on abt 10 clicks on gain from zero. With two wired on one yellow one ground, which gives less gain than yellow twisted with red and ground, i am only on 3 clicks from zero for gain. Granted i am semi nearfield at 1.85m ear to my Celestion hf1300. You do get some benefits but seriously if you are on a single listening chair and not a couch where a single might have voids in other positions rather than your sweet spot listening chair, dun fret it, you wun notice too much of a difference.unless u want to really pressurize the room, then yes two def makes a huge difference and i'm pretty sure that's not what you are looking to do. Soundstage doesn't really open up, it's more of you get a better perception of depth and the stage becomes slightly more convincing due to the way our brain reacts to stereo even though some people will tell you bass is mono, but when recording is done, bass is recorded with stereo, and that's where the main diffetence is. Once again, not a big deal so dun fret it even if you decide not to get the second. Hope that helps and Cheers!
@riccitone
@riccitone 4 ай бұрын
@@Cats-N-Music thank you! This was very helpful. Also good to know about the different wiring option you’d mentioned. Was just considering as I might move to monoblocks, in case I wanted true stereo with two subs. Or simply enjoy that deeper/more real stage presence as you’d also mentioned 🙏🏼

@Cats-N-Music I have been looking for a nice pair of 1SC for a second system ever since. Hooked up to the REL's The mids and highs just sang even more sweetly with an open airy presentation disappearing disappearing quite easily. The integration with the subs was really easy using the Hi level connections off my tube power amp speaker posts. I could live with this in my main system its that good 👍🏽

@@MK-rn2hmYa buddy, you need to be using either one of those to discern a difference. Then again, we always listen to one or two things we try to look out for, attack and decay, forwardness, refinement, sound stage width, depth, height, scale, fullness of sound, sibilance, ability to stir your inner emotions, etc, etc, So that's why audiophiles listen to a familiar track or a track over and over till you know what that track has and does not have inherently on a revealing system, then you know that track inside out whether it's been presented in a honest way or in a tarted up way. That's the fun of the hobby. Cheers buddy!

Mr Huang is always giving in to Mei Mei whether when it comes to food or play, he always lets her eat 1st or gives in to her during play fights. He is a loving big brother. Hey Brother, 1st off, congrats on the ME, its a great unit for the money, very refined in my own system used as a transport. Thank you for the kind words, they are much appreciated! I am so glad you liked the song, Yuna along with Snoh Aalegra to me is a modern day sound of Sade. And you have to play this track on your hifi, its a feast for the senses, the textures and layers and the sound literally comes from behind from the start of the track. 😅 Anyway, back to the LPS, i can only tell you what i am hearing at this point as the LPS has less than 24hrs of brreak in at this point. As of now, these are my observations - Tonally much cooler, less tube sounding cos I am running tube dac and integrated, though you can still tell its has tubes cos it still flows, but on a much lesser scale - Improved PRAT whether or not its your cup of tea, bass has better definition and speed, bass has more slam, mid bass upwards it trades note density for speed - Holography, on some recordings i am gettin r2r dac kind of lvls of details from the back of my listening position, though for me it does not sound as incoherent as r2r - Details more forward and seperated in its own space textures and nuances easier to discern - Much Larger Soundstage width across any songs, on some recordings, i am gettin increase in soundstage height, depth not much difference - Harshness on the mid highs on some recordings. Refinement is a strong trait on the original unit compared to a few other streamers I own also with lps. - The sound has become more sensitive to the recording, in a sense more true to the quality and tone of the recording which can also be attributed to resolution. All i listed above may or not be improvements, to me some things to me are not really improvements as i am not a fan of modern hifi sound if it does not sound natural and if it does not make me wanna listen to the next song. All i can say at this point is i have mixed feelings about it at this point. It has robbed me of some of the attributes of my BBC Monitor sound signature, yet certain things it brings are really quite good, but i value tone and a natural presentation above all(in this sense, original takes the cake compared to now, but it cld be the included cable that connects lps to main board being the culprit, I'm really not sure). So when things sound too isolated and etched in their own space and becomes analytical, i really cannot listen to the music, my brain starts going into listening to one instrument at a time thing and i hate it cos i am not listening to the music as a whole. I prefer presentation where i can pick out the instruments only when i want to and the presentation is not forcing it onto me. Luckily this LPS does not do it to me on that scale and that is a saving grace for me. Other than that, its mostly a mixed bag to me at this point. I like the increased sound stage and PRAT, yet at the same time, i miss the cozy and more seductive tone i had previously. Dun get me wrong, it still has it inherently, but on a much lesser scale now than before. The main thing that bothers is the tonal shift from warm to a little on the cool side of neutral So, ill continue to burn in for abt another 300hrs or so before i make a decision. But by then even if i prefer the old sound, ill try one last thing which is to replace the silver plated cable they gave from the lps to the mainboard to the original one, i suspect that silver plated cable to be the culprit of some things i am hearing which i personally dun like. P.S - i never liked silver plated cables, they always make me cringe. Pure silver is a totally different story, to me its the best thing in hifi 😅
