Wow. I recall getting my mom to write the address given onscreen to receive the "What's New" newsletter. The response was quick (we lived in Chicago, home of WTTW), and included instructions to a craft project presented on the show. It was great getting information from folks who didn't talk down to kids. Also, that narrator sure sounds like Vic "Control Voice" Perrin, whose credits include many educational materials.
