Very nice. The MK2 as almost a tape machine for ambient is an incredible little device, doing this myself.

Cool! Theoretically, you can send sound back to the SP-404 from the modular, and record ready ambient textures as async loops. Then stack them on SP, and cycle again and again, creating a very complex sound.

Thanks for sharing. It's very informative. Which Looper/delays, of those available on the usb, do you have on your two lubadh reels ? Also how quick or slow do your layers fade out as you record over them on the lubadh ? Is this something you have adjusted/edited in the looper script? Thanks again. Would love a lubadh focused video, as descriptive real world usage tutorials of the lubadh are rare. 🙂👍👏

Nice work. I’ve used the loops-of-varying-length technique, and this does a good job explaining it. I also enjoyed seeing how you only used two samples repitched in chromatic mode to get some really good loops. Thanks!

can you have different sequencer lengths on different tracks? like with elektron devices? to create polyrhythmic rsequences?
@TonyJamesMorton3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not. The sequencing capabilities are quite basic, albeit better than from the previous model.

@hummahumma35853 ай бұрын
I would say, that polyrhythm is combining two or more rhythms with different time signatures (4:4 vs. 3:4 for example) but same lenght. So this is not polyrhythm.
@miekwavesoundlab3 ай бұрын
Polyrhythms usually have resolution point within a few bars. For example 3/4 and 4/4 polyrhythm loops at 3 bars in 4:4 time or 4 bars in 3:4 time. And triplet bass line against 16th hats is another example.
@isaiahromero98613 ай бұрын
No it's not... some of yall really need to actually learn music theory instead of just randomly throwing around words like "polyrhythm" to impress people
@surrealchemist3 ай бұрын
Even if it was technically correct I don't think its a good way to label it with the samples being so long and the difference not being locked to a grid. The variations are not going to be as apparent and straight forward polyrhythm or polymeter. You can't count them out easily because its not a rhythmic piece

Just by using the headphone out of the Seqtrak into mutable ears to bump the gain up. Then onto the Lubadh and Nebulae.

@@NunyaB1s i also have a digi and use it lot. Dont quite get music out of the BB. Who do u use as máster clock?
@NunyaB1s7 ай бұрын
@@montunoxx6607 So I use the Digitakt as master and set up the BB to be sequenced: Pads on MIDI A, then multisamples B-H as needed. All long-form or stereo samples get spun down to the the BB and I'll use its sequencer usually to craft scenes based on the MIDI seq. I use the Digitakt to sculpt samples sometimes using 2+ tracks to craft stereo phrases then sample them over to the BB. I've grown so used to using these as essentially a single unit that I can't imagine another way of working. The blackbox for me is a direct expansion module for my Digitakt.
