Thank you so much for doing this for us. It is so useful. I do have a problem now though as I want to make a box that is 4" x4" x1/2", but it won't move the 1/2" to the height section, there is just a red star there. I've noticed that somebody else has made a box 1/2" high,so wonder what I'm doing wrong. Can you help please.

You need to add a zero in the first drop down when you are measuring less that 1" and then you will be able to calculate your box perfectly.

Great tutorial thanks. If anyone is using The Works, All in One Tool by We R Memory keepers. When you are going for the cut outs, IGNORE the sticky out bit on the punch and line up the cut out part of the punch with the middle of the three scored lines. that will get you the cut out in the centre. The punch on Thw Works all in one, is only just a tiny bit wider than the distance between the scored lines to its easy to line it all up. My WRMK The Works all in one tool is covered in sharpie marker to make the embossed printed area easier to see, so I marked the centre of the envelope punch on the shoulder of its button, for easy visual to center it.

Thank you for your clear directions and not making the video too long! I have to make a retirement card for our principal for all the staff to sign. I planned to use a technique like this so everyone could have their own little space to write in. I think I might have to make it larger as it is from the whole staff, but I think I can do that by cutting 12 X 12 paper in half instead of thirds, and using an extra piece or two. I’ll have to use plain coloured cardstock I think as I won’t have enough patterned. (Well, I’ll check out my stash and see what I can find!)
@TheCraftyOwlUK
@TheCraftyOwlUK 2 жыл бұрын
Sheryl I'm so glad you found this video tutorial useful (I don't link long videos either!) You could easily adapt the design to make a larger version. I would try and use patterned paper rather than cardstock if you can, as you may find cardstock a little bulky, but a little experimenting will get you there. I'd love to see a picture of your completed project - good luck!

@@TheCraftyOwlUK I did end up using your measurements as they were so straightforward. I made little pockets in each fold and attached them on both sides. The pockets are for staff to put little messages (written on school exercise paper!) into. I’m still waiting for them to finish their messages so I can pull it all together. I’d love to show you when it’s finished. Let me know how I can do that.

Oops. Missed an instruction first time through. 1st cut is at 2 5/8. NEXT CUTS, turn and LINE UP AT SCORELINE, not at 2 5/8, or you'll have a square envelope instead of a rectangle.
@TheCraftyOwlUK
@TheCraftyOwlUK 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you have to make sure you align to the scoreline if your box is a rectangle. The more boxes you make, the easier it becomes to remember where you're going!

You can make rectangle envelopes Louise - you just need to put in both dimensions for the size that you would like your envelope to be - and BoxBuster will work out the paper size and punch position.

Margie you need to work out what you would like the dimensions of your finished bracelet box to be, then if you input these into BoxBuster it will tell you what size paper you need and where to punch and score.

Thank you so much for your Box Buster Tool. I bought my Envelope punch Board a long time ago and soon discovered your tool which I made good use of. I then found many other things to do and my board was forgotten.
