Awesome to see someone who knows how to take care of these guys. I got my sav for free because the previous owners had no idea what they were doing, and them finding out she would get to be over 3 feet they knew they couldn't handle it. She was never handled because they were scared of her. Fed her once a week as a baby and only fed pinky mice in a cage that held no humidity. I'm so glad i was able to take her in giving her the proper diet and home. She's now thriving and no longer tries to eat my fingers everytime the cage is open.

Can you recommend a better way of heating my enclosure? I have I used the same lights as you, but I had one ceramic heater that I use to keep lower temps at night and it literally started on fire. Luckily I was home when it happened because it literally started like a torch. I heard the ceramic top crack and then 🔥. Now I’m terrified to use them again as we have kids in the house. Maybe a rare occasion but still makes me paranoid when i go to bed
