Sanderson has always been a pedestrian writer but must have been covered up by his editor Moshe. Now Moshe is gone Sanderson is free to publish his middle grade level prose. Sanderson is like Nickelback - it kind of sounds like music and it’s popular but it’s not music. Nirvana is music, and Rothfuss is Nirvana.

editing for WaT vs the other books in the SA is very noticeable. im a little disappointed to be honest. my emotional attachment to the characters is the only thing getting me through at this point

I tried reading Holly Black MORE THAN ONCE. It was really hyped up and I was so excited, and yet, it was not what I thought it'd be. I don't wish to discourage you but I thought I'd give you insight on why I, personally, wasn't a fan. The writing style seemed a bit juvenile for me. The plot itself was awesome (I love political romance) but the execution was just not it. Great potential but fell short to me. I feel the same about Cassandra Clare books.

I read one hundred years of solitude this year in its original language (im Spanish) and i must say it has become one of my favorite books ever. It's so original and entertaining, even though it can be difficult to follow sometimes lol
