Great tips. Can you make a video on welding 304 Stainless, thin material like 16 ga. I struggle a lot on corner joints.

So a lack of cfh will screw with you if your gass is not up enough. I think that's my problem with my welds being brown.

I did a Stainless job for the first time while I was able to weld fin but the weld was not shiny can you think of what I'm doing wrong. Gas related? Used 100% argon

Like a pull weld, where you have a bit of back angle so your burning into your bead ?

I think the welds look really great for not being done on a bench in a work shop setting. Awesome job.

Welding instructor/inspector here, I'm a firm believer of first you learn the rules (don't weld down hill) as pro we learn when to break them. Much love from Alberta Canada.

Let’s say you were doing a butt weld on 2” or 3”sch 10 with around a 1/8” gap on the root. What size wire would you use on the cap. I’m kinda new to it and going back and forth between 3/32 and 1/8 wire.
@sscustomwelding
@sscustomwelding Ай бұрын
@@dustinbrown4661 I would personally use 3/32”…1/8” will work also but just have to play with your heat..bigger filler means more heat to melt

Great tips! I just started practicing weaves (only have mild steel at the moment) but I was using 1/16 filler but i definitely felt like it was just a little too small so i got some 3/32 filler. Will be doing some more practice this weekend, hopefully with better results!

I started using the lazer tungsten just before I quit welding about 6 months pre cvurus. Started my own business. I make way better money now by keeps and bounds. Next week is the last week though. I'm putting up the tools to go back to welding. Idk what it is about welding. I just miss it. Thanks for the video. No clue how it got tossed in my feed since I haven't watched any welding go videos. I swear Google is reading minds now

Hey man, great videos i gotta say. My question is if you could do a video about tungstens that u use most of the time, i know everybody praise LaYzer tungstens from CK worldwide but i dont have a easy access to them, so what other types of tungstens are best for which application and in which scenarious to use different grind angle of the tungstens. Thank you! I just subscribed. Been following you on Instagram. I’ve been wanting to learn how to walk the cup but i was trying it on flat coupons and having difficulty getting into a rhythm. I also tried a T-Joint but on 16 gauge stainless which didnt work out so well. I’m going to get some thicker material and try it again!
