Has anyone ever tried playing a strategy in which you don't buy anything, but rather keep the money and collect the salary. And sure, pay rates, draw communiti challenge cards, stuff like that. But simply never buy anything, otherwise just respect all the rules.

@@chriscrider4024 Tried playing like this once, the other persons rage quit. Did a few simulations with AI, I didn't lose. But the game did last very long. And also, in the simulations, the money were not a problem. In real Monopoly, you have a limited amount of cash. If let's say the 1$ bills get taken out of the game, as in people have them, you can't pay the exact price anymore. And I was under the feeling that that was exactly what was going on. I was making it impossible for the game to be played. Can't test it online and I doubt the fact that any of my friends will ever want to play Monopoly with me again.

Not guaranteed at all especially if you tunnel vision on getting the orange. It’s about seeing how the game plays out and strategising accordingly.
