Saw BBVD live twice. One of the tightest bands I ever saw.

That's cool. I just got that 12x12 cover promo print last week. Original, mint condition. Framed and on the wall.

When the Beatles were all the rage I was grooving to Cab Calloway and other “Hard Swing”. When Jumpin’ Jive reemerged I was thrilled. This might’ve been the first piece I heard by BBVD but it led to my owning several of their releases.

First saw them at NOLAJazzfest in 2000 and many many times since then. At Birchmere in Virginia July 21st. Can’t wait. Best band ever. “Goodbye” song ended my daughter’s wedding in August 2000.

The big band revival was pretty badass in the 90's. Already a die hard big band guy and thought it was great seeing real talent coming out. Cherry Poppin daddies, Brian Setzter...Awesome stuff

I would disagree as this tune has the definite feel of Jump Blues, Listen to anything from Luis Jordon from the 40’s-50’s….

Well its not often that instantly a certain song becomes one of your Top Ten personal favorites. But this one did! Its got vibes from the '30s, lyrics that are timeless, and modern technology to bring it right into your home wherever you are! Hard act to beat!

I would like to know their history: where did they grow up, did anyone influence them to play instruments/how old were they when first started playing instruments, which college did they attend, were they all music majors, any interesting stories (i.e. Don Henley of the Eagles failed his freshman year in college), their families, etc.
