Congrats! I lost 170lbs over the last year, and went from a 4x to a medium/large depending on brands. Isn't it just amazing?! I still look at the plus size section out of habit, my brain hasn't caught up yet!

I also needed a reset after all the holiday food but it feels nice to be back on a food routine and schedule. Lost 30 pounds last year and I have a goal to lose another 50 this year. This time my husband decided to join in and it’s going to be a year of health for us. Proud of your continued effort!

I have to preface that I have type 2 diabetes and pcos, but my Dr decided to put me on Mounjaro in April when I had only lost 22lbs from Dec 15, 2023 till April 24. BUT I still take Mounjaro, eat in a calorie deficit and honestly the only exercise I do is walk. I normally do 3 miles in the morning and walk my office when I can. I have back issues so weight training is hard most days, but I’ve been walking since the beginning 💖

Its absolutely not okay, and im sorry people have put you through this. Everyone sees themselves as the main character in their own lives, and is seeing someone else who, in their eyes is doing worse than they are. To them it may be seen as being helpful. It may be done out of malice/hatred to anything they deem as other (less likely but still happens). Theres no real way to know for certain unfortunately. But the result is the same either way in making you feel shamed. I think of it the same way as i think of people who mansplain. Theres often the desire to help do things better/smarter, and while in specific situations it could be useful, most of the time the advice given is seen as a hinderance or insulting. At the end of the day, if you didnt ask, then they shouldnt be trying to "help" in their misguided way. But that doesnt diminish the hurt you may be feeling because of their actions, nor does it excuse that they went out of their way to do something that at this point, they should know is hurtful. Theres no shortage of videos like this sharing how harmful this behavior can be. Unless theyre someone youve specifically got under your employ to assist you in losing the weight, it's not their place. And either way, you deserve to be apologized to for their actions. As i dont know who did this or if they ever would, allow me to flat out say that im sorry youve had to deal with this. It wasnt right, and you deserve to have your bodily autonomy respected, especially with how you choose to fuel yourself. Whether or not youre trying to lose weight is moot. Food is fuel, and your choice shouldnt have been disrespected like that.
@BoujeebabesarahАй бұрын
Thank you so much for your heartfelt response. It truly means more to me than I can express. I’m okay now-I just needed to get my feelings out about the situation, which thankfully happened on another platform. Once I let it out, I felt so much better. Nothing is going to stop me from continuing my success, but knowing there are kind and understanding people like you out there makes all the difference. Thank you again for your kindness.

People are rude and crude! If they have to be audible, then they have their own issues! Stay on it and hang in there. I started carnivore 88 days ago. 258 down to 226. Feel better and blocking out crude comments. ❤

I also did Keto 4 yrs ago and lost 62 lbs and gained 48 back. I started Lion diet for the first 6 weeks losing 18 lbs and then started adding whole milk cheese( which is animal based.) However, I would gain a pound or two eating just 1 ounce and not eating enough animal fats. Now, I am incorporating more fats that protein and this better suits me. I am addicted to peanut butter but never liked sweet peanut butter. So when I have to fix my grandchildren peanut butter and jelly, we'll, it's never good. I always lick the spoon. LOL!

Oh my goodness 25Lbs is amazing though! It is so hard in the beginning and I had a scare with Ozepmic last year that I wasn't sure about going on anything again. But luckily my new Dr i went to talked me into mounjaro and that has helped my PCOS & Diabetes so much, I still put in the work but the cravings and emotions that come with those problems are far and few between now.

Great job. Yoh are doing amazing. I hope one day to get to take Mounjaro again. I was so lucky to get take Mounjaro for 3 months. I literally lost 80 pounds in that 3 months. It was crazy. But then my insurance changed and the new only co ered Ozempic. I changed and it took about 6 months to lose 20 pounds. Then my insurance started requiring prior approval and type 2 diabetes diagnoses to get Ozempic. I was never a T2D. It was my thyroid that made me gain the 100 pounds. I still need to loose about 60 pounds. But thatbis PCOS and endometriosis weight. So now 2 years later I am down 100 pounds and I have maintained. I just struggle to lose the last 60 pounds. I woreveryl5 days a week and eat healthy.
