Hi Ron. Love the videos. Been watching them for a few years now. I've been trolling from the Champlain bridge to Sloop Island and everywhere in between for years. I've got some 2d sonar questions for you if you ever have time. You often times include your graph pictures and my five year old Lowrance has never marked a ball for me or shown me a single mark. Sometimes a little bait. Downscan shows me fish and bait down deep, never a ball though. 200 khz and high chirp model only. No 83 khz or 50 khz on my unit. Is that the problem?

To me it is important at what depth search for a fish and on what rig catch it. Who cares if sonar shows fish or no. He uses slide divers. Many people advice planners (but how go down to 30' with it). Looks like fish is right above thermocline at 30-40 feet. I will try dipsy with longer fluoro leader next time. So far I get only trout. Very useful video. Thank you very much, Ronald.

83 kHz I use. It’s a 8 year old gen 2 HDS Lowrance. The wider signal at 83 tends to show more under the boat. I really like 2D sonar!

Starcraft dealer is the only way to get the stock canvas. Part numbers for each piece. ie. bow cover / side curtains / back curtain / Bimini top/ Connecting curtain.

I also have a 200 hp Mercury from 2019. Failed on the first day out - starter died. Failed a month ago with 175 hours - the shop does not know why it is missing so bad.

I happen to have that same cable. Mine is 1/8. Inch. What hardware did you use to attach the cable to the bag and your side cleat. I assume you used some type of hardware. I used that cable for another project and used a cable clamp for 1/8 cable to make a loop. I can invision making a loop around a carabiner for the bag and a large loop for the cleat.

I ended up going back to a nylon 1/4" rope. I was easier to tie to the bag. My mistake thinking coated cable was a good idea.

How do you keep the fleas off your line, I was there in the end of July and the fleas were terrible.

The fleas have mostly been gone in the last month. We get a few in small areas but largely gone.

I was reading that the reading device needs to be an Android. All my devices have an i- in front. It cannot be paired with any Apple devices?

No apple stuff will pair. However as Android 10” tablet was $55 on Amazon. That’s what I did. You need the transducer and the transmitter for the probe to send data
