Dark days for me as a kid... I had Married with Children, and In Living Color to carry me through. As a kid I said Jamie Foxx, Damon Wayans and the creepy Jim Carrey fire martial bill fucker are gonna be big one day. They all did well but Jamie was just too talented. I love this guy unconditionally. Jamie is so talented he helped me out of some hard times with his entertainment. That Jamie respect george strait... I love George and I love Jamie. Trump 2024!

I lived in London in 1994 & 1995, and this video was on regular rotation on British TV. One of my favorite songs of all time, and a spectacularly great video -- which sadly is of such low quality here. Anyway, I saw an ad in the Sunday paper saying that Vinx was going to be at a venue in Camden Town, which was just a short distance from my apartment. I got there very very early to guarantee a good seat, but was so early that it was just me and the club staff. Vinx arrived and sat near me at the bar, and then asked if I'd care to join him for a bite to eat at a place nearby. We walked to the restaurant and had a lovely time -- zero weirdness -- and after asking me all about my Foreign Service life, he told me that when he was a kid, he sometimes liked to sit on the floor of the hallway closet (Vinx told me why he would do this, but I sadly can't recall this little detail). His father, also a percussionist, would tap syncopated beats on the door of the closet, and Vinx would listen and learn. What an incredible, warm, charming, down-to-earth guy. Many years later I saw him again at a packed crowd at the Cellar Door in Georgetown. I didn't approach him, as it was unlikely he would remember that meal we shared years before. Summary: Parents, please tell your children that life doesn't come to your front door. Just GO!!!!
