Better rigs using proper windmill blades have been used before on a yacht. It means you can travel in any direction, but the power from your version will be pretty poor. If you would like to play with windpower on yachts, I suggest you look up Flettner Rotors. Check out my Playlist called "Flettner Rescourses"

Here is snippet of original color (not colorized) film taken by my grandfather, Dr. Charles Kimberly, in Stockbridge Massachusetts on July 4, 1939. Earlier model of yours? kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHankGtjZ5uZgLMfeature=shared&t=22 I have hours of color footage from his travels in that era, plus B&W from the 20's. At 23s in, it appears to me that the fire truck is a Ford COE - 1938? Correct me if I am wrong. My father and his mother are in the video, as well as my two aunts. Funny to see my late dad, born in '35, as a 4 year old on a tricycle checking out the parade. The COE jumped out at me. I'm a gearhead.

Thanks for the video. Am contemplating the same thing for a tow vehicle behind the RV . Thought I might have to use a body lift/mounts to create engine clearance and allow for more leg room.

Awesome job on the boat but you shouldn't be given people rides because if something happens you're liable for it because that was your first test at least until you know it's safe

Diggin this. I kinda want a floatplane or a seaplane that's a houseboat too. I'm dying to find a plot of remote land and live on a lake in the middle of nowhere. This is a brilliant example of hybridization. Makes me think that anything is possible. Kudos. I'm definitely a new subscriber. Hope you'll post an update when the interior is finished? 💛

Thanks for this very informative video. I have a'38 D-9, 2-door Touring Sedan and have put a very nice completely balanced engine that is guaranteed to not fly apart under 10K. A transmission guy made me a A424 with two overdrive gears, and I have a Bowler shift manager that can be set to engage or disengage around 50 mph. I put a M2 W/Manual rack on the front, and a triangulated four link on the 8.8 '99 Explorer rear end. Viking adjustable coilovers and disc brakes on all four corners. I have a set of 15" US Wheels chrome wheels that have a factory prime so can be painted body color (Spray Source VooDoo Violet over pewter last prime coat). I have Goodyear 3" Whitewalls to mount onto them. I am nearly ready to move the completed chassis up under the body, which has been setting up on 6' 4x4s on very sturdy jack stands since 2016. I am 76, and had Prostate removed due to cancer in 2011, and and have dealt with increasingly frequent bladder releases in public since May 27, 2011. Last Wednesday morning, I had a surgery that opened the pelvic floor right between my anus and Scrotum. Today I have week-old stubble and horrid swelling in that area of my "sitter" and have a bear of a time getting comfortable. I honestly feel like a champion kick-boxer wore steel-toed boots and gave me a swift kick in the slats! It will be awhile now that the hurricane is going to hit us tonight. I spent the day putting everything that can fly in safe places, so as to minimize the damage. We will have an insurance claim this weekend, for sure. Hopefully the people that won't even listen to me long enough to have any facts to determine a response were interrupting me and really didn't believe me. That's ok, this weekend they will know. I just hope life after is easier. Thanks again. I was just reminded of what Jeff Chrisco told me when he was building my 318, which he overbored to.030 over. And said it shouldn't fly apart. I told him I didn't think I'd get it up to 4K. The main point he made was that he used gobs of assembly lube so that there was no dry start. To be sure. I took the distributor out and spun the oil pump until I saw oil in all spaces that I could see with the rocker covers off. When I started it. It ran to 200 rpm (I had the throttle set for that on the Eidlebrock 4-holer. About on the fourth day of running (15-20 minutes at a time) the power valve blew out and the engines innards were washed down but good. I cleaned it out, put a Mobil One filter on it and 5 qts of Mobile One synthetic in it and an ACES Holeshot Fuel Injection on it, an ACES distributor and fuel management system on. I'll wait and wire it all up permanently after the body is secured to the chassis.

Question: Have you thought about creating power from it? When it spins it reminds me of an Archimedes "screw" type of small windspinner I've seen producing small amounts of power (sort of a trickle power producer). But the lightness of the sail and how it spins, I'm thinking it could produce a decent amount of power.

Well I was definitely loving the build till the really overly annoying and loud dude showed up and then that's when I had to fast forward to get rid of him. It's unfortunate really that some things ruin videos for people but. It is what it is u guess. Too bad tho really. Pretty cool project nonetheless the less
