Lake Halford hold the potional Tennessee state record bass under the marina in the first two slips on the left side. There are a bunch of brush that was put out when the lake was built. Since the lake has been open my friends and I have pulled multiple 10lb bass using a black and blue football style jig. The biggest fish I have ever seen pulled out of the dock was pushing 13lbs in 2018

Thanks for the info buddy! I have actually fished that brush pile before but never had that great of luck. I've caught a few small ones and some crappie off of it. I agree though, if they will manage that lake correctly through stocking programs, it will grow some heads!! Good luck!

Thanks for watching! I haven't got to fish out there lately due to work. You should be able to run down to the mid part of the lake and catch then schooling up on shad. Topwater and swimbaits have been good. GOOD LUCK!

Just finished a couple days on Barkely and we caught a shit ton of 14 and 14 1/2 in fish. Frustrating now but should be good in the next year or 2!!

Thanks bud, I do not personally know any guys that guide but I do know Jimmy Washam guides on Pickwick. He fishes on the MLF pro tour and lives down there, might be a good guy to check out. He also has a youtube channel.

Thanks Johnathan! I've been finding big schools of bass down the lake in the no wake end. They have been down there chasing schools of shad and you can catch them busting all morning. Most of the bass are 1lb to 1.5 lbs though and the bigs have been escaping me the last couple trips.

Soft plastics and swimbaits have been my best producing baits.

As far as hardbaits, shad colors have been good. The swimbaits are the same. My best colors on plastics have been junebug and green pumpkin.
