Wish they'd restore the station and use the lobby for Metro North commuters. Even after all these years, the ride is still too long with the train max speed being too low.

If you’re talking about Port Jervis, they did renovate the station from what it once was.

@@Bklynkid52 Can passengers wait inside the original waiting area? I always loved that when they restored the Ramsey station in the late 80s. Ramsey was one of the very last manned stations on the line due to large amount of people from New York using the station (until Ramsey Route 17 was completed. (Walter worked Ramsey Station for many years.)

I caught a 5 train which was bound for Nereid Avenue the day of posting this comment, and I think it’s the first time I took a 5 to Nereid. I’ve also caught before some 5s that terminated at Utica Avenue instead of Flatbush.
