I swear this song sounds way better than the Overwhelming majority of rap today. This brother has strong, raw straight lyrics, nothing nasty, no dumb ass, fake ass gangsta crap. Such a raw flow!!!!!

I tell folks before all the rap groups there was Spoonie gee, I use to listen on a cassette tape.. sugar hill were late commers, Gee is a natural, from the soul not just the ego. loved the sound, none the less it had the seeds of destruction in the words, that will blossom into bloodshed and ego.

Been loving Akinyele since the first time I heard this track. It was 2004 when a Friend of mine let me listen to this piece of art. Oh man! I would've wished AK had a better and longer career

I love how even when he was just speaking over the beat he was still flowing almost as if he was rapping

I was there when he made the name change, performing songs off the Donkey Sean Jr mixtape for 30 people at the Knitt Factory in NYC, yes I was a P fan wayyyy before all of you, but that’s ok….he was and will always be my all time favorite MC, met him a few times personally and never disappointed. I simultaneously LOVE and HATE the fact that he blew up and took over the underground…wish he got more flowers as Ruck. But then again…he wasn’t P !…(yet..) Rest in PEACE Sean Price ❤

Where’s the other version of this? It split Pun’s verse into two and it was another beat altogether.
