I've used it on so many camps now as well as around the house and in the garage. As a lamp it is just so versatile so I think it's worth it 👍

Such a nice video… Thank you for posting it and sharing your thoughts on the OneTigris gear. I have the Outback Retreat model from OneTigris which they apparently no longer make. It’s quite similar to the Backwoods Bungalow, but a bit larger with peaked vestibules on either end that also serve as exits. And it has a second awning on the back. So a total of 4 doors. It’s hands down my all time favorite tent. But it’s no good in the rain with a heavy amount of water ingress through the seams. Maybe that’s why it’s been discontinued. So I’m very interested to know your thoughts and experiences with your tent in the rain. Your setup is so similar to mine with the cot, table and chair…. It was just so comforting to watch. I may set have to camp tonight in our woods. (And hope it doesn’t rain!) 😆 Best to you from the US. Just subscribed.

Thanks you for the follow. I have used it a few times in the rain and it was ok. When the awning is down the only ventilation is at the back of the shelter which caused some condensation but a lot of my tents would have had the same problem. The OneTigris range is so good and perfect for the type of camping I do so can't wait to get back out again. Take care and have fun 👍

Thank you so much for your reply. Maybe I’ll give the Backwoods Bungalow a try. I have the original OneTigris cot (with the four supports vs. three) and absolutely love it. It’s as comfortable as my own bed regardless of the season. My table and chair are knock off brands but are sturdy and nearly identical to the OneTigris models, so I have no complaints at all. Thanks again! Looking forward to your next video.

Like you, I love the Backwoods Bungalow 2.0 with the Footprint. A set of Self Reliance Outfitters Poncho Poles makes the awning pop up like a dome and in the rain there's no pooling of water, it runs straight off the front and sides. Adds a lot of head room too. A really nice addition to the tent.

I own one of these and yes, value for money it's unbeatable. I'd recommend however, that you carry some tent pole repair segments if your pole breaks, and a can of WD40 to prevent the poles from getting stuck together.

I just bought this model 2 days ago on Ebay NEW £55, so a great price. I havent been camping in (a long long time ) the first thing that struck me was the ground sheet already set up, does this come with the tent ? Then it sticks out from the tent itself, so wont water run in from that ?

It's Fjällräven and it's really good. You treat them with bees wax to make them more water resistant.

The Starlight 2 is a great tent, only downside I would say is the vestibule area is very small. In bad weather if I have to close the fly to use the stove, I'll try to pull the floor of the tent in as much as possible to make some extra space. Would be good if Robens made an upgraded version with a wider vestibule. I haven't seen any other brand of tent with the same waterproof rating at that price. It must be the best pound for pound tent available. 10,000HH for the floor and 5000 for the fly. More expensive tents like MSR have 5000 floor and 3000 fly. One of the main reasons I bought the Robens to begin with, as well as the review I saw of it on RS Outdoors (formerly Renegade Scot). I've then gone on to buy the Robens Voyager 2ex with the extended vestibule, and still around the same price as the Starlight. It's a palace but for the extra kilo in weight I'll use it on the easier hikes.

I just love it but totally agree about the vestibule area. The other thing that's a big advantage for Scotland is how good it is in the high winds.
