Great march.Nawanagar state band used to play this March so often in 1940s. I am aware of that by my grand father as he was sub-par band master of that band.

Many years ago i was in army officers training ROTC in Fort Lewis, Washington. We were coming towards the latter part of a 10 mile march after a 4 day field training exercise. We were all bone tired and weary. Then somone started whistling Colonel Bogys March. Then another one joined in the whistling. Soon a number of people were whistling. We got into step, heads high, backs straight, looking proud and smart. Amazing what a song can do.

This march starts with the tune of "When a Wooer Goes A-Wooing" from "The Yeomen of the Guard", the middle must be by Sousa, and then ends with "Aunt Dinah's Quilting Party".

Listened to a few other orchestras play this song before Berklee College of Music, theirs is faster and livlier and includes many instruments with a nice rich base that deepends and widens the music. I played this several times, it's very nice, I can hear all the parts. Young people have probably never heard it or experienced the resonance of orchestral instruments.

69 years old now, I first played this march as a euphomum player,at age 12, and continued up to about the age of 26. So, so good to hear the march as originally written, and as I remember it. Thank you for this upload, and thank you to the musicians also. Even if it is Plymouth NH, instead of Plymouth, England. It proves even Americans can get something right. (Yes, that is a joke. Don't put a contract out on me).

When I was about 6 or 7 years old, the preparatory, primary and high school of the area had an annual concert and each school would have a performance or two. I was in the prep school, so I sang in the choir, the primary schools choir sang and the high school choir and wind band performed as well as a few other ensembles. I remember the band playing this piece but I didn't know what the name was. And now after all these years I have found it.

Exactly same for me!! Heard it in school when I was about 7 or 8 years old!! Have been desperately trying to identify and locate this piece! I thought it was something from the “American Marching Band”. Finally, I was able to locate it by “humming the tune in a piece of software known as SOUNDHOUND” I was surprised how it was able to discover it!!!

Actually, it goes: 🎵"Hitler...has only got one ball! Goering...has two, but very small! Himmler...has something sim'lar! But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all! Rommel...has three or four I guess! No one's... quite sure 'bout Rudolf Hess! Schmeling...is always yelling! But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all!"🎵
