Great video. What did you end up attaching to the traction board holder? I purchased a GX that came with this setup and I dont want to use it to hold a traction board so was wondering what my options were.

How does the 470 vs 460 compare? Was in the market for 470 but prices are close w the 460 (assuming higher mileage), might as well go 460? Is the 4.6 as reliable as the 4.7?

@@greeenteeee definitely reliable and yeah I’ve seen some great deals on 460s. I prefer the newer look. I’ve upgraded my grill and lights to the 2020 look

@@Kiss__Kiss look up MBP tuning. You can get better throttle response and transmission shifting with the tune. They say better gas mpg but not much

I’ve had good experiences at Custom Motorsports for custom stuff I’ve need and when it comes to basic maintenance my go to is Trusted Imports. I try to do all my own work but these are my go to places if I can’t.

The rear bumper does not the front . I think the less fender lining you take out the stronger the hold .

Honestly that creaking from the suspension would drive me insane. It boggles my mind that an aftermarket company would make a suspension that creaks like that.

That noise is from the RTT , I had it bolted down directly to the roof rack. If I used spacers or lifters the noise would go away. I sold the tent so it’s nice and quiet again.

My personal experience the 4runner but each one of my trucks are built purposely for trailing / rock climbing / camping / overlanding. The GX is starting to be the favorite. Loving the v8 power that 4Runners don’t have.

@@rand0mGTdepends on which model you’re talking about, for the most part the GX is more capable than the 4Runner assuming you deal with the approach angle on the GX. All gx models come with full time 4wd and kdss, the same can’t be said for 4Runner.

TRD offroad comes with a rear locker along with ATRAC (both have) and better approach and departure angles so it is the winner. Obv a gx460 modified will have the same ability but better amenities and luxury on the inside.
