An incredible chorus. If only they had put some verses around it, it would have been a million seller.

I'm from Australia. To know that this band is from TEXAS and so hippie-sounding, and not even from lefty Austin but DALLAS for heaven's sake...Gives me joy and loving hope.❤

@@Absolutely_Nobody I really wasn't being political; I'm foreign (I'm presuming you're American) so I only have a very BROAD understanding of attitudes in Texas -- I assumed anything musically and attitudinally in Texas, other than Austin, was basically Christian-conservative in flavor. Sorry. Peace. 🖐

This song was always too short for me. Its such an addictive tune. I would love to find a 20 minute live version of it. Any body knows of one?

The first time I heard this song I was heavily addicted to Heroin and I was pretty sure it was like a 20 minute long shoegaze song. Always kind of a weird tonal whiplash to hear the real thing

It's basically just a teaser for the chorus and a chorus. It could loop for ever quite easily. If I didn't know who it was I might assume it was late Pixies or solo Frank Black (that is the highest compliment, btw)

1-The band members probably don’t get paid very much since they all probably live with parents…. 2-He seems like a cult leader 3-He probably has sex with everyone in the band Amazing band !!!!

Brings me to this time in 2008. Tycho’s Dictaphones lament. Going to the magical forest with friends. Going to Ace’s house. Sneaking off my balcony. Listening to Broadcast, Blonde Redhead, Boards of Canada, and Wolfsheim. It was such a time of exploration going to the addicks hill next to the pond and building fires. This band reminds me of watching Thumbsucker. The romanticism of the isolated parts of the movie. Going to isolated places with a loved one in my life. I was doing the same. Meeting the girl I liked under a bridge with friends before we started dating. The magic of this band encompasses the happiness of that unencumbered love of independence and exploration with those you love. I am forever grateful of having that freedom and spontaneity. Thank goodness some bands can encapsulate that. That magic existence that we witness is what I live for. It’s what I know so many other’s have felt. Being in this state then and now has been a type of nostalgia that must be encapsulated in film, art, music, or writing. I recommend everyone read the book The Art Spirit. There is a vision that many others feel also even though we are dispersed across vast areas. I find myself witnessing another period of similar and yet more mature connection with friends now at ATX Food Co, Casa De Luz, and The 3rd eye lounge. Finding those places where others are into deep connection is a beautiful thing. 💗
