Fairfax said to not request the certified charges copy until I request the expungement. Is that correct?

Im not sure on this. If you're doing this on your own I would lean into a court clerk in your county that you trust and try to work with them only. There are som many people that really don't know this process and will tell you anything.

How long does the process take if there are no objections by the courts or attorneys?

The process could take months. Im My experience once the courts agree and you get that letter in the mail stating that. It's im the hands of the VA State Police and they are super behind. I mean like processing expungements from the previous year. it's 2024 Oct they probably processing expungements from 2023 Oct. Just keep checking back once you get that letter you know it has gone through just the process for it to be removed from record take the most time.

Mannnn... I have a felony in VA because a bitter ex had me pulled over driving his car. Was mad at me about something insignificant but called the cops and said I'd stolen it. Now I've got a larceny charge. Also got caught when I was 19 (13 years ago!!) buying some grass from a chick who was working as an informant. I panicked and said it wasn't for me but was for a friend. They made me plead to possession with intent to deliver. So now I look like a d*ug runner who uses stolen cars to make my deals. Those charges on paper look terrible, and when a company is looking into your background to hire you or approve you for a loan or home - they're not going to hear your explanation, they're going to see whatever charge(s) you have and they're going to make their own assumptions about you! ALWAYS petition to have it expunged, you don't need a lawyer.. just internet access and a couple bucks for the filing fee. Know your rights! So good to see us young folks taking our freedom back from this corrupt machine.. one step at a time!

Unfortunately Not legal where I live in Chesapeake Virginia. Virginia Beach Virginia won't allow expungements. We are still slaves.

That is not true. I live in Virginia and have expunged my record for all nolle prossed and charged that were dismissed/dropped but on my record. TO be clear that's what this video is about. How to expunge your record for charges not convictions. Nolle prossed and dismissed

True, I'm doing Chesapeake VA they are one of the hardest states to do NC, which is easier.... no charge for dismiss cases

It’s an old court case that happened 21 yrs ago an my ex an I dropped the charges against one another but still shows on my background check an it costed me an employment opportunity with the state of FL! I already sent away for the expungement list of instructions for Va Bch VA an your detailed instructions will help me get everything together an send in to the Va Courts. I did eight years of drug court for an Oz of pot, I finished and my record was to be expunged, i applied for job and was fired first day after record check came back, I have college degree I can’t use, no trouble in 11 years. This is BS

I like Crosby it's one of the oldest companies out there still on the road. Small company where you are not a #. they listen to your requests and try to get you home every week for the most part don't get me wrong they have pissed me off but overall it's a good start

Also how do you feel about the pay & what's your average miles per week?. They gave me a great cpm but I haven't started yet so I can't just go from a recruiter until I actually do the job. Plus, do you run out of Kutztown, PA??? That's where I'll probably be running from.

Thank you so much for making this video!! I am trying to do expungment for myself by myself. My charge was in prince william county, 1st offense possession of marijuana in 2018. I was and completed my probation . But I need this expungement, because I am trying to apply for an apartment and I've been denied due to this stupid charge. The law here has passed in July 1, 2021 for weed to be legalized, and I did read multiple times online that they will be expunging peoples previous charges. But I did unfortunately read they won't be automatically expunging cases until 2025, hopefully I read that incorrectly. Any advice for me?? Once again, thanks for making this video.. you've helped me soooo much!
