Hey Rika (aka, Lilly) I hope you’re still winning because you’re an Awesome Player! I haven’t seen any youtube videos of you playing lately but I do watch the old Lupin videos when you’re playing in their house tournament, those were nice to watch because you’re good- looking to watch. I’m not really sure what you’re talking about because my “Nihongo” is not very strong. You look tired and somewhat upset but here’s some words of wisdom and encouragement, never dwell on your past losses, it will break down your confidence level and eat away your mental part of the game. Always stay positive and always BELIEVE, this will build your mental part of the game; you have a strong skill set when you pocket balls, I know because I watched you on some of the videos. You are an awesome player; you have to tell yourself that it’s about being positive. Most importantly, and this is key to any GAME whether you Win or Lose, you have to stay HUMBLE… I retired from the USAF in 2011 and was stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan (Aomori prefecture 1999-2003) and was stationed at Yokota Air Base (2007 - 2009) I played some of the best Japanese players there, especially in Misawa and Aomori. I played pool at BOSTON CLUB, Towada most of the time. Mr. Yoshida was the Master there at the pool Hall - he was a good friend to me and an awesome Pool Player. I gamble with him, but I suck! He wins all the time against me. Most of the Japanese players in Misawa shoot very strong, especially in Aomori where they held most of the Big House Tournament, I really miss those days. When I left Misawa, Mr. Yoshida gave me words of encouragement, he said, “Elmer-san, FIGHT! FIGHT! So, I took his words to heart and now I know what it means. I know sometimes I disappointment him when I play because he knows I can do better. I took his words as positive feedback and it gave me self-belief and I took comfort in it. He was such a cool person, I miss my Friend a lot. I would like to go back and play him, maybe one day I’ll meet him again. I have gain so much knowledge, not just 9-ball but in other disciplines like, 1-pocket and straight pool. I don’t play much pool lately, covid hurt some of the pool halls here in South Carolina. I would like to go back to Japan and play the best player at Lupin pool hall, hopefully that person is YOU! But I play for money (“Ka-ke dama!”) I shoot with a Josey Custom Cue and Pete Omen Custom Cue and break with Predator 2 or my Pete Omen breaking cue. What is your playing Cue?...Lilly I’ll end this here, I know I said so much but I miss your Country, the pool halls, and the Food. Just keep believing you’re the Best Player and most of all, stay Positive! And Keep FIGHTING!
