Brilliant views of the Castle. New subscriber

About ninety per cen of e demolition worked and its all gone now. It was mostly a success.

Y’know, it’s only taken me 13 years to link the jackets in this video with the “Win are inflated by Michiko” in the album’s blurb.

The re-issue of the album that’s coming early next year includes both this version of “Super Popoid Groove” and the wonderful 12” mix. Can’t wait.

I was 8 or 9 when I saw this movie at an outdoor movie theater in Canada....I've never seen it again and don't know if I'd want to....very strange movie.

You seem to be breathing so hard and in a panic. The drone however seems so peaceful. I would usually lose or almost lose connection to the camera at around 3500 feet.

Hi madhaggis, John from Melbourne Australia. I'm nearly 70 and in the mid 1970s I lived with my uncle in Ardrossan. My father emigrated to Australia in the early 1950s and his family lived in Stevenston. Great shots of Ardrossan Harbour and Ardrossan Castle. The harbour has changed so much. Really enjoyed the footage.

The trees felled were commercial plantations, not native woodlands. They will soon plant more trees to replace them.

I was born in 1973 and lived in Pollok up untill 1984. I remember going up the castle when I was young. The trees around the castle were a lot smaller then. Great footage ☝️👍

Visited and took the tour in the summer of 2019. Amazing!!

I dont understand, you flew right past the club house for the golf course, why not land it behind the green trash bin and drive to pick it up? Gotta use visual markers and always have a place to land in case of a contingency... Also, lower altitude if you can...you were over grass, well clear of the trees...

I have just rediscovered this album 'Uh! Tears Baby' by Win; it's great after finally firing up the turntable (needed a new belt and stylus)! I like all the songs on the album and I have the 12" of this. Thanks for posting; I'd never seen the video to it.

This place was indeed somewhere to hide away the mentally handicapped from the rest of society. The first building with the small summer house in the grounds was for the more disabled who required 24hr care, that said, there was no proper assessments done back in the 60's and it was pot luck. To the left, behind this one as you drive in, there was another building that was added slightly later to house the Downs Syndrome children. The main house further up the estate was used for mainly adults with very varying degrees of ability. In fairness to the staff there was no proper training and they coped the best they could, most indeed were bussed in from Beith. That said children were tied to old cast iron beds, same spoon fed all the children, same razor used by all the older males, old stained cast iron baths with multiple occupants and the continual smell of urine and faeces. The glass verandah was paid for by "Parents and Friends of Caldwell House Hospital" and gave some light relief from the small windowed ex-farm buildings. When this place was eventually closed most moved to Merchiston Hospital in Johnstone(slightly better)and,as the Scandanavians have been doing since the 1970's, most are now cared for in the Community. Not a proud moment in Scottish history.
