I just noticed, after watching a second time, no right side mirror. It wasn’t just the size of the engine, that was different….they were a very different engine. By the way, I was also USAF, but enlisted. F-111 guy, here.

To actually call yourself a "rider" you need to actually put miles on two wheels. 1K miles in 10 years means you don't 'ride". You are a wanna be collector like many people who own a motorcycle. I find it hilarious how many people wax poetic about "riding" when they just own garage queens. They are either too broke to maintain a bike, or too scared to actually get out and ride. Sometimes both.

Hi Mike, Thank you, thank you! I have always loved this style and this era when cars really had style. It's beautiful and classy. And always remember, please, that the showstopper top never takes too much time to show off. You ALWAYS have enough time to demonstrate this most interesting feature! It never gets old! And still photos never capture this dramatic poetry in motion. The MONEY shot! (You stated that in all your years and money spent in restoration, $95,577, you never got to test its cruise control. Huh?? Really?? REALLY hard to believe...)

I had a 68 Galaxie 500 convertible. Front cross member was rusted. Went to frame shop and was advised to check with Ford dealer if they had old manuals for interchangeable parts. Turns out 65 to 68 T birds was on the last. Junk yard took the front cross member from a 65 bird and I had it welded into my 68 Galaxie 500. I thought the underpinning frames where the same so not sure about the t birds being a unibody or not. I know my Galaxie was considered a full size ford!

The gauge is marked ‘Min Oil’ to signify ‘minimum oil’, not mineral oil. The black leather heel pad to the driver’s footwell is missing. It’s a lovely example, though.

I have acquired almost the same car, a 1990 560sel in black on tan. I repaired the cruise control myself by changing out a few capacitors and hitting each solder joint on the circuit board. It was not difficult but then I do repairs on vintage guitar amplifiers as a side job. Anyway, the CC on this car is better than ANY car I’ve ever driven, it really feels magical and is the most simple to use. Many of these have inoperable cruise controls at this age but they are worth getting fixed even if you have to pay someone else to do it or get a new part... this car was built to cruise.

@@garrydavis3475 Well, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert on these cars so please let me know where I’m incorrect. I always thought that the post war Bentley R type in Continental fast back coach work was the original. I also was led to believe that it’s one of the most expensive Bentley models of the entire post war era.

What a cherry! The only thing that would have made this thing pristine-perfect is if it came with it's "Oldsmobile '73" 8-track cartridge that was given as part of the first-owner's package, which was a licensed mix-tape of all the popular songs of that year.

Absolutely beautiful restoration! My favorite T-Birds are the 62-66 T-Bird Roadsters. Amazing how the tonneau addition dresses up the car, but gives the flexibility to return to a four-seater simply by removing it. If this sold, I hope it went to someone who loves it as much as you did!

A stock 1962 came with a generator, it didn't have a high rise, chrome valve covers, chrome alternator, aftermarket air cleaner, cut outs and aluminum radiator. I thought all SS came with a 327, and the car isn't stock. Nice ride for what it is-

Beautiful example, I owned a '69 for 7 years in the 1980's, finest automobile I have ever owned. That said, I guess I am shaded by the differences in the 67 and 69, I liked the parked wipers, corner fender turn signals, rear quarter panel round Cadillac crest (illuminated to red), and full leather seats, no inserts. I also liked the upgraded A/C controls. Thanks Mike for a really nice 67.
